But here is a secret: General Awareness (GA) is the hidden gem of this exam. In both CBT-1 and CBT-2, General Awareness carries 15 Marks. You might think 15 marks is small, but think about the time. You can solve 15 GA questions in just 5-6 minutes. This saves you a massive amount of time to solve those lengthy Engineering or Maths problems. Know Your RRB JE General Awareness Syllabus

The syllabus is the same for CBT-1 and CBT-2. This means if you prepare well now, it will help you in the final selection stage too.

Key Topics to Master:

  • Current Affairs: This is the most critical part. Expect 4-5 questions from recent events (Sports, Awards, New Schemes).
  • Static GK: Railways loves asking about Classical Dances, Art & Culture, and the Headquarters of organizations.
  • Polity: Focus on Fundamental Rights, Duties, and important Articles. These are repeated often.
  • Geography: Questions on Rivers, Lakes, and Railway Zones are very common.
  • Life Science & Environment: Basics of pollution, diseases, and vitamins.

Why General Awareness Topic Tests Are Important?

  1. Double Benefit: GA comes in CBT-1 (15 Marks) AND CBT-2 (15 Marks). Preparing it once helps you in both exams.
  2. Time Saver: You either know the answer or you don’t. There is no calculation. You can finish this section in minutes and use the saved time for the Technical section.
  3. Merit Booster: Most engineering students ignore GA. If you score 10-12 marks here, you automatically get an edge over thousands of candidates.
  4. Accuracy: Topic tests help you filter out confusion. You will stop getting confused between “Article 14” and “Article 19” after a few tests.

How to Use GA Topic Tests?

  • Daily Dose: You don’t need to study GA for hours. Just take one Current Affairs quiz and one Static GK quiz daily (Total 20 mins).
  • Read Explanations: After the test, read the solution carefully. If the question is about the “G20 Summit,” the solution will tell you the venue and theme. Remember that!
  • Don’t Guess: There is 1/3rd negative marking. If you are not sure, skip it. Topic tests teach you the discipline of skipping.
  • Focus on ‘Firsts’: In Railways, questions like “First Train,” “First Vande Bharat,” or “First Governor General” are very popular.

Remember: 15 Marks can decide whether you qualify for CBT-2 or not. Don’t take it lightly. Start smart with our free tests.
