  1. Is there anything new in SBI PO 2022 Notification?

    Yes! There is a slight change in the Phase II exam pattern. Earlier there were 45 questions in Reasoning & Computer Aptitude which is now reduced to 40 questions. Similarly, there were 35 questions in Data Analysis & Interpretation which is now reduced to 30 questions. 10 questions are added to General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness which used to have 40 questions but now it has 50 questions.

  2. I passed SBI PO Prelims last year, but didn’t write the Mains exam. What should I fill in “No. of times appeared” in the online form ?
    or
    I appeared for SBI PO last year but failed in Prelims. What do I write in No. of Attempts?

    Only Mains attempts are counted. If you didn’t write the Mains exam, your attempt will not be counted. In other words, if you have attempted in Mains 3 times or less and you fulfill the eligibility criteria, you can apply for this exam.

  3. My D.O.B. is Nov 17, 2002.Can I apply for this exam?

    Yes! Your Date of Birth is falling between Apr 01, 1998 and Apr 02, 1989 so you can apply.

  4. Will there be a sectional cut-off in both Prelims and Mains?

    There isn’t any Sectional Cut-off either in the Prelims or Mains exam. Merit lists are drawn based on the overall cut-offs.

  5. Do EWS students have age relaxation as well?

    No. Only those EWS students who come under the category of PwD as well have an age relaxation of 10 years.

  6. I am in the final year of my graduation. Can I also apply for this exam?

    Yes! You can apply provided that at the time of the interview, you are able to produce the proof of passing the graduation examination on or before December 31, 2022.

  7. If I apply under EWS category but I’m unable to provide EWS certificate during document verification. Will my candidature be discarded given that I’ve cleared UR category marks in all the stages or will I be accepted as a General candidate.

    If you satisfy all the criterion of UR category, your candidature will be accepted.

  8. I have uploaded my signature in blue ink. Will my form be rejected?

    As per the notification, the signature has to be signed on white paper with a Black Ink pen. So you are advised to apply again.

  9. I have applied for Chennai circle (Tamil Nadu). But I chose Puducherry as the centre of examination. Will the centre of examination be changed to the state I had applied for?

    No! Applying for a different region and choosing the centre of exam are 2 completely different things and will not have any effect on the centre you have chosen.

  10. Is there a Phase-III in SBI PO exam?

    As per the notification, the Bank may conduct Psychometric test for personality profiling, of those candidates who will be shortlisted for Phase-III. The finding of the test may be placed before the Interview panel for having a through perspective on the candidates. III Phase comprises of Group Exercise & Interview.

  11. Is there any bond in SBI PO?

    Yes! You will have to execute a Bond for a value of 2.00 Lakh to serve the Bank for a minimum period of three years. So, if you quit your job within 3 years of joining, you need to pay 3 lakh rupees to the bank.

  12. Are 2 months enough for SBI PO?

    It can be, especially for aspirants which have prepared over the course of the last 2-3 months for exams like RRB PO, Clerk, IDBI, & SBI Clerk. You will have to follow a dedicated study plan though.

  13. How should I prepare for SBI PO?

    Start with taking a mock test so that you get an initial assessment of your preparation. Keep learning the concepts of English, Quant & Reasoning. Solve at least 100 questions on each topic of these sections. Finally, move to mock tests for a systematic assessment & improvement of your preparation.

  14. What are the career prospects of an SBI PO?

    There is no doubt about SBI’s track record of offering exciting promotions and opportunities. And if you really put the efforts in the right direction, you can also land senior management posts at the head office.
