BOI Credit Officer Notification 2026 Released

Bank of India has invited online applications for recruitment of Credit Officers under the General Banking Officer (GBO) Stream.

One of the biggest highlights of this recruitment is the 779 vacancies, which include 475 backlog vacancies from the previous recruitment cycle. This significantly increases the chances of final selection compared to previous years.

Pay Scale – What’s the Salary?

Selected officers at MMGS-II must deposit ₹2,00,000 as a refundable security deposit (refundable after 3 years of satisfactory service). MMGS-III and SMGS-IV officers must deposit ₹3,00,000.

Nationality

Indian citizens are eligible. Subjects of Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugees (arrived before 1 Jan 1962), and persons of Indian origin from specified countries may also apply with a Government of India eligibility certificate.

Educational Qualification

For MMGS-II and MMGS-III: Graduation in any discipline with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) from a recognised university. CA/CFA/CMA-ICWA or MBA/PGDBM/2-year PG in Banking, Finance, or any credit-related field is also acceptable.

Experience requirements vary by scale — typically a minimum of 3 years (MMGS-II) and 8 years (MMGS-III) of post-qualification experience in credit-related banking operations.

  3. Click “APPLY ONLINE” → Select “Click here for New Registration”
  4. Fill in Name, Contact, and Email ID — a Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated
  5. Fill the complete application form and use “SAVE AND NEXT” to save progress
  6. Upload scanned:
    • Photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm, 20–50 KB, JPG/JPEG)
    • Signature (140 × 60 pixels, 10–20 KB)
    • Left Thumb Impression (240 × 240 pixels, 20–50 KB)
    • Handwritten Declaration (800 × 400 pixels, 50–100 KB)
  7. Upload relevant experience certificates and qualifications
  8. Click “COMPLETE REGISTRATION” only after final verification
  9. Pay the application fee online
  10. Download and save the e-Receipt and Application printout
