An important point is that the Descriptive Test is qualifying in nature for the selection process, but its marks are not counted in the final merit list for Generalists. UIIC AO Negative Marking 2026
There is a penalty for incorrect answers in both the Preliminary and Main objective examinations.
One-fourth (1/4th) of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
There is no penalty for unanswered questions.
UIIC AO Cut Off 2026
UIIC will determine the required qualifying marks and cut-offs for different stages of the recruitment.
The notification states that candidates must qualify each individual section as well as the overall qualifying score prescribed by the company. Candidates are advised to reach the examination centre well before the reporting time mentioned in the call letter.
Late-arriving candidates will not be permitted to take the examination. The reporting time is earlier than the actual test start time because candidates may need additional time for:
