SSC has released an important official notice for all the students who are going to appear in the SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Paper 2 and SSC CHSL Tier 2 exams in 2026. This new notice gives the exact dates for when you can check your exam city and when your final admit card (Admission Certificate) will be issued. Along with the dates, the Staff Selection Commission has made some major changes to the rules for candidates who use a scribe (a person who writes the exam for a candidate). If you are using a scribe, you must follow these new rules, otherwise, your scribe will not get the entry pass. Let us understand all the details of this official notice in very simple words.

Important Dates for Exam City and Admit Card

You do not need to check the website every single day now. SSC has given a fixed schedule. Here are the exact dates for both exams:

Name of the ExamFinal Exam DateDate to Check Exam CityDate to Download Admit Card
SSC JE 2025 (Paper 2)07 April 202627 March 202604 April 2026
SSC CHSL 2025 (Tier 2)10 April 202601 April 202607 April 2026

How to check: On the given dates, you just need to go to the new official website of the commission (ssc.gov.in). Enter your login details (Registration Number and Password) in the login module to see your city or download your admit card.

New Rules for Candidates Using a “Scribe”

If you are a candidate who is going to use your own scribe for the exam, please read this section very carefully. SSC has changed the entire registration process for scribes.

1. Old Registrations are Cancelled

If you had registered your scribe on the SSC website before 5th November 2025, that old registration is completely cancelled now. You cannot use it anymore.

2. Fresh Registration is Compulsory

Your scribe needs to do a completely new registration on the SSC website.

3. Aadhaar Card is Now Mandatory

The biggest change is that the new scribe registration system is now linked directly with Aadhaar Authentication. This means the person who wants to be your scribe must verify their identity using their Aadhaar card on the website.

4. Age Limit Rules

SSC has updated the policy regarding the maximum age limit of the person who can act as your own scribe. Make sure your scribe fits the age limit mentioned in the original exam notice.

Deadline to Link (Map) Your Scribe

Just registering the scribe is not enough. After your scribe completes their fresh OTR (One Time Registration), you have to link or “map” their registration number with your application form. You will only get a Scribe Entry Pass if you complete this mapping process before the deadline. Here are the strict deadlines to map your scribe:

  • For SSC JE Paper 2 Candidates: You must map your scribe before 3rd April 2026 (up to 11:00 PM).
  • For SSC CHSL Tier 2 Candidates: You must map your scribe before 5th April 2026 (up to 11:00 PM).

If you fail to do this by 11:00 PM on these dates, the system will not generate the Scribe Entry Pass, and your scribe will not be allowed inside the exam center.

Conclusion

For normal candidates, the process is very simple. Just mark your calendar for the dates mentioned in the table above and download your admit card on time. Keep revising your notes and do not take any stress in these final days. If you face any confusion regarding the admit card or the entry pass rules, you should read the original notifications of these exams that were released last year (June 2025). The rules written in those main notifications will be considered final.
