2. Vacancy Details

SBI is looking to fill 100 vacancies for the post of Trade Finance Officer on a regular basis. While the final category-wise distribution will be available in the detailed notification, these positions are typically spread across major trade hubs like Mumbai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad.

3. Eligibility Criteria (As of the Cut-off Date)

This is a specialist role requiring specific academic and professional credentials.

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Mandatory: Graduate in any discipline from a Government recognized University or Institution.
    • Certification: Must hold a Certificate in Forex (by IIBF).
    • Preferred: Candidates with Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists (CDCS) or similar international trade finance certifications will be given weightage.
  • Age Limit: Minimum 23 years and Maximum 32 years. (Age relaxation applies as per Govt. norms for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD).
  • Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in Trade Finance processing as an executive in a supervisory role in any Scheduled Commercial Bank.

4. Salary and Benefits

Being an MMGS-II grade officer, the salary package is highly competitive.

  • Pay Scale: Rs. 64,820 – 93,960/-
  • Allowances: In addition to the basic pay, selected officers are eligible for DA, HRA, CCA, PF, Contributory Pension (NPS), LFC, and medical facilities as per the Bank’s rules.

5. Selection Process

Unlike general banking exams, the selection for SBI TFO usually does not involve a written test.

  1. Shortlisting: A committee will shortlist candidates based on their qualifications and the relevance of their experience.
  2. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview (100 marks).
  3. Merit List: The final selection is based solely on the interview marks. You must score the minimum qualifying marks (as decided by the Bank) to be considered.

6. Application Fee

  • General / EWS / OBC: ₹750/-
  • SC / ST / PwBD: Nil (Exempted)
