Eligibility Criteria: Can You Apply?
To be eligible for the RRB ALP Notification 2026, you must meet the following three requirements:
1. Age Limit (as of July 1, 2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years
- Note: Standard age relaxations apply for SC/ST (5 years) and OBC (3 years).
2. Educational Qualification
You must have at least one of the following:
- Matriculation (10th Pass) plus ITI in a relevant trade (Electrician, Fitter, Mechanic, etc.).
- 3-year Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Automobile Engineering.
- B.E./B.Tech Degree in any of the relevant engineering streams.
3. Medical Standard
Driving a train requires perfect health. You must meet the A-1 Medical Standard, which includes:
- Vision: 6/6, 6/6 without glasses.
- Tests: You must pass tests for Color Vision, Night Vision, and Binocular Vision.
Mandatory: Aadhaar Verification
As per the latest RRB ALP Notification, Aadhaar authentication is now compulsory.
