Economics/Econometrics/Quantitative Aptitude/Integrated Economics Course/Finance aggregate marks in all semesters.
RBI Grade B Officer (DR) – DSIM55% marks in Master’s Degree in Statistics/Quantitative Aptitude/Mathematical Statistics aggregate marks in semesters of all years from a government-recognized university.

PGDBA (Postgraduate Diploma in Business Analytics): Min 55% marks.

RBI Grade B Age Limit

RBI has set an age limit for candidates who want to apply for the Assistant Manager position. The minimum age limit is 21 years, and the maximum age limit is 30 years. This also depends on the age limit cut-off released after the RBI Grade B Notification. Candidates who want to apply for the RBI Grade B should meet the age limit requirements. The authorities may ask the candidates to prove their age during the selection process. The reserved category candidates are entitled to get the age relaxation.

RBI Grade B Age Relaxation

Candidates who wish to appear for the RBI Grade B exam are provided relaxation in the upper age limit for certain categories through RBI Grade B Age Relaxation. This relaxation is given according to government rules. CGPA to Percentage Conversion Criteria Given by RBI

Some universities do not give percentage marks. Instead, they use systems of grading for graduation and post-graduation. These systems are known as lCGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average), OGPA (Overall Grade Point Average), or CPI (Cumulative Performance Index). In such cases, many candidates remain worried about how their grades will be converted into percentage marks in the RBI Grade B exam.

RBI uses specific criteria to convert CGPA/OGPA/CPI to percentage marks. It accepts the conversion criteria provided by the respective universities and follows a method that a university defines as its method for CGPA to percentage conversion.

In case, it does not have a predefined conversion criterion, RBI follows the calculation method to convert CGPA to percentage. It follows a rule that says:

  • CGPA of 6.75 = 60% aggregate marks
  • CGPA of 6.25 = 55% aggregate marks
  • CGPA of 5.75 = 50% aggregate marks

Candidates need to check with their universities to confirm the conversion method used. He should then align it with the requirements of RBI.

Note:

  • Your overall grade or percentage will be calculated for the entire course.
  • If your CGPA is not out of 10, it will be converted. Then, it will be calculated on a 10-point scale.

RBI Grade B Number of Attempts

There are a limited number of attempts, as mentioned in the RBI Grade B Eligibility Criteria 2025. General/Other Category candidates get 6-attempt limit. On the other hand, reserved category candidates such as OBC/ SC/ ST/ PwBD have no limits on attempts as specified in the RBI Grade B Notification.

RBI Grade B Medical Criteria

Candidates go for the medical checkup after appearing in the interview round. The medical round happens after the joining of candidates on RBI Grade B officer posts in the organization. Additional Points for RBI Grade B Eligibility

There are some additional points that the candidates must be mindful of before applying for the RBI Grade B exam:

  • Name Change for Female Married Candidates: Female candidates who have changed their name or surname after marriage must have a valid Gazette Notification, marriage certificate, or affidavit in both original and photocopy.   
  • Eligibility for Reservation and Relaxation Benefits: The aspirants belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS/Ex-servicemen categories who want to claim reservation or relaxation benefits must have the required certificates in the prescribed format.   
  • Category Change: The candidates are not allowed to change their category during the selection process. All aspirants must have valid documents to prove their eligibility for category-wise reservation benefits.  
  • Eligibility for PwBD Category: A candidate belonging to the PwBD category seeking reservation must meet the eligibility conditions governed by the “Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPWD) Act 2016.”   
  • Eligibility for Disability During the Selection Process: In case an aspirant becomes physically disabled during the selection process due to unfortunate events, then he/she must provide valid documents proving 40% disability or more as defined under the RPWD Act, 2016, to receive reservation benefits.   
  • Age Relaxation for Widows: There is no provision of age relaxation provided to candidates who declared themselves as widows.
