The exam comprises five sections with a total of 150 questions for 150 marks. Each section has a specific time limit, and negative marking applies for incorrect answers.

After the exam, a merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained, and candidates who meet the cut-off will be shortlisted for the next stage.

Stage 2: Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

The Language Proficiency Test (LPT) ensures that selected candidates can communicate effectively in the local language of the state they have applied for.

Who Needs to Appear for LPT?

  • Candidates who have not studied the local language of the state they applied for in their 10th or 12th standard are required to appear for this test.
  • Those who have studied it as a subject are generally exempted from the LPT.

  • Marks obtained in this test are not added to the final merit list.
  • The test evaluates the candidate’s reading, writing, and speaking abilities in the local language.

This stage is mandatory for candidates who fall under the applicable category. Failing the LPT can lead to disqualification even if the candidate has cleared the online test.

 Stage 3: Interview Round

Candidates shortlisted after the online exam (and LPT, if applicable) are called for the Interview. This is the final and most decisive stage of the recruitment process.
