IBPS RRB-X 2021 registrations are open. We hope that all aspirants who were preparing for banking exams would have started applying for it. After all, this notification has come after a long wait. This year, most of the exam dates have been getting postponed and exam notifications got delayed. The release of the IBPS RRB 2021 notification is a really good sign. Aspirants should make full use of this opportunity. The last day of registration is June 28, 2021, and if you are interested in these vacancies, you should register for this exam today itself without waiting for the last day.


It’s often been observed that on the last day there are technical glitches because of which you may face difficultly in submitting your application. Therefore, it’s highly recommended that you apply for this exam today itself. There are certain guidelines that you have to follow in the complete process of IBPS RRB-X 2021. Important Guidelines for IBPS RRB Candidates

  1. At the time of examination/interview/joining, candidates have to submit documents such as  valid call letter, a photocopy of photo-identity proof along with the original bearing the same name as it appears on the online submitted application form etc. You should not send any document to IBPS during the process of recruitment.
  2. You can simultaneously apply for IBPS RRB Clerk vacancies and vacancies in the IBPS RRB Officer cadre. But don’t apply for more than one post in Officer’s cadre. In other words, you should not apply for IBPS RRB Officer Scale I & IBPS RRB Officer Scale II simultaneously.
  3. Before applying, candidates should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility criteria and other norms mentioned in IBPS RRB Notification.
  4. Candidates who are called for Prelims & Mains examination and are shortlisted for interview & the subsequent process shouldn’t assume that their candidature is cleared by IBPS/RRBs. If at any point it is revealed that a candidate doesn’t fulfil the eligibility norms, IBPS/RRBs would be free to reject that candidate’s application.
  5. In all the matters of a candidate’s eligibility norms and any other matter relating to CRP RRBs-X, the decision of Nodal RRBs/ Regional Rural Banks / IBPS will be final and binding on the candidates.
  6. If a candidate arranges for a scribe, the scribe himself should not be a candidate for this exam. At a later point of time, if a violation of this is revealed, the candidature of both the scribe and the candidate will be cancelled.
  7. You should not apply more than once for any cadre. In case, there are multiple applications by any candidate, only the latest valid application will be considered. Please note that in case of multiple applications, the application fee/intimation charges paid for other multiple applications will be forfeited.
  8. If it is found that there is multiple attendance/appearance in the Prelims/ Mains examination or interview of any candidate, his/her candidature will be cancelled.
  9. Once you register the online application, you will not be allowed to withdraw it and application fee/intimation charges will neither be refunded nor be held in reserve for any other examination.
  10. Any dispute related to this advertisement will be subject to the sole jurisdiction of the Courts situated at Mumbai.
  11. Any attempt to canvass or create influence to get undue advantage will lead to disqualification from the process.
  12. Please note that any request regarding change in date, time and venue for prelims, mains exam & online interview will not be entertained. Also, any request for change of address and other details of application form will also not be entertained.
  13. If there is any dispute on the interpretation of clauses of this advertisement, only the English version of the advertisement on the IBPS website will prevail.
  14. The signature done by a candidate at all places (call letter, attendance sheet, correspondence with IBPS/RRBs in future) should be identical without any variation. Signature in capital letters will not be accepted.
  15. Sufficient copies of Photograph (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm) which is uploaded by a candidate in the online application form should be retained for use at different stages. Also, candidates are advised not to change their appearance until the process is completed. Failure to produce the same photograph could lead to disqualification.
  16. The left thumb impression which has to be scanned and uploaded should not be smudged.
  17. The handwritten declaration should be in English language only and should be in candidate’s handwriting. If it is found that it’s written by any other person or is uploaded in any other language, the application will be considered as invalid.
  18. The possibility of occurrence of some problem in the administration of the examination cannot be ruled out completely. This may impact test delivery and/or result from being generated. In that event, every effort will be made to rectify such problem, which may include movement of candidates, delay in test etc. Please note that conduct of a re-exam is at the absolute discretion of IBPS. Candidates will not have any claim for a re-test. Candidates not willing to move or not willing to participate in the delayed process of test delivery shall be summarily rejected from the process.
  19. Candidates who will be called for interview will have to appear on their own expenses. However, eligible  outstation SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities category candidates will be reimbursed as per the rules.
  20. Nodal RRBs/ RRBs/ IBPS will not be responsible for any application made/ wrong information provided by an unauthorized person/ institution. Candidates are also advised not to share their application details with anyone.
  21. Candidates who are provisionally allotted will be subject to their being declared medically fit and will be subject to service & conduct rules of RRBs. IBPS has no role to play here.
  22. IBPS reserves the right to amend any criteria, method of selection & provisional allotment.
  23. Intimation will only be sent via email/SMS to the email-id/mobile number which is there in the application form.
  24. If the information/intimation doesn’t reach candidates because of change in mobile number/email address or any other reason beyond the control of IBPS, IBPS will not be responsible. Candidates are advised to keep a close watch on the IBPS website.
  25. Candidates should indicate their order of preference in the online application form. Later no request regarding any change in this will be entertained.
  26. Candidates who are applying for the Post of Officer Scale-I and Office Assistant, they will have to provide the order of preference which will be available based on the state which they select to apply. These candidates will have to select center of examination in that state only.
  27. If the handwriting on the handwritten declaration of the candidate is found to be dissimilar /different, later, his/her candidature will be cancelled.
  28. All the candidates should follow the guidelines regarding the Social Distancing Mode of Exam. Any violation of this may result in cancellation of candidature.

There is no major change in IBPS RRB 2021 Notification when compared to 2020 Notification.

Can I apply for both: RRB Clerk & RRB PO posts?

A candidate can apply for the Post of RRB Clerk/Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and can also apply for the Post of RRB PO/Officer Scale 1. However, a candidate can apply for only one post in officer’s cadre i.e. either for Officer Scale-I or Scale-II or Scale-III.
