SSC GD 2026 Eligibility and Fee
1. Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed the Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/University as of 01st January 2026.
2. Age Limit (as of 01.01.2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 23 years
- Age Relaxation is given to reserved categories (SC/ST get 5 years, OBC gets 3 years, etc.) as per government rules.
3. Application Fee
- Women (all categories), SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen: Nil (Exempted)
- General / OBC / EWS (Male): ₹100/-

Applications must be submitted in online mode at the official website of the Commission, i.e., www.ssc.gov.in
One Time Registration (OTR)
- Visit the official page of SSC (www.ssc.gov.in)
- Click on ‘Login or Register’ and then click on ‘Register Now’
- Click on ‘Continue’ and fill in the details to complete the OTR
- Note down the Registration Number and Password for future reference.
Registration Process
- Visit the official website of the Staff Selection Commission.
- If you are a new candidate, complete the one-time registration process. (provided above)
- Log in using the username and password created during the registration process.
- Click on the ‘Apply’ tab presented under quick links.
- Choose ‘SSC GD Constable’ from the list and click on the ‘Apply Online’ link.
- Fill in all details like age, father’s name, date of birth, category, educational qualification, etc.
- Upload the scanned photograph and signature.
- Preview the form, pay the exam fee (Rs. 100 for general and OBC candidates, reserved category candidates are exempted), and finally submit the form.
SSC GD 2026 Selection Process
The SSC GD 2026 Selection Process consists of four stages: Computer-Based Test (CBT), Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and the Medical Test. Candidates who will clear the last round, which is a medical test, will have to appear for the document verification. All stages are qualifying stages that candidates need to clear.

SSC GD Exam Pattern
Before preparing for the exam, understanding the SSC GD Exam Pattern is essential. The SSC GD 2026 Exam consists of four sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi. Each section consists of 20 questions. There are 80 questions in the exam that candidates are required to attempt in 60 minutes.

Note:
- All questions will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. The computer-based examination will be conducted in English and Hindi only.

SSC GD Constable 2026 Physical Efficiency Test
Candidates who will clear Paper 1 will be eligible to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The efficiency will be measured by the race. There is a limit set for candidates who belong to the Ladakh region and for candidates who don’t belong to the Ladakh region.

The SSC conducts the SSC GD Constable 2026 Physical Standard Test to examine the candidates’ physical ability. Candidates will be examined for both chest (only males) and height.
