The journey to success is often paved with many small failures that teach us how to eventually win. Paresh Patil is a perfect example of someone who never gave up, even when he missed targets by the smallest margins. Today, he stands proud with three major selections: IBPS RRB PO, SBI Junior Associate, and IBPS Clerk.
Here is the story of his incredible transformation.
The Journey: From 2023 to Victory
Paresh started his preparation journey in June 2023. It took him nearly three years of constant effort to land his first job in February 2026. His journey was not an overnight success; it was a slow and steady climb.
He began with the MBA CET exams, where he saw his scores jump from 66% in 2023 to a massive 97.35% in 2025. While he appeared for many exams in 2023 and 2024 and missed several mains and reserve lists by tiny margins (sometimes as low as 0.25 marks), he entered a “Golden Period” in 2025 where his hard work finally translated into multiple final selections.
Section-Wise Preparation Strategy
- English: Paresh relied solely on Mock Tests. By solving a variety of questions in a timed environment, he was able to build the confidence needed for the actual exam.
- Quantitative Aptitude: His mantra for Quant was simple: “Practice, Practice, and Practice.” He focused on solving as many problems as possible to increase his speed and calculation accuracy.
- Reasoning: He used multiple Mock Tests to master this section. This helped him get used to different types of puzzles and logical patterns.
- General Awareness: Paresh dedicated one hour every single day to reading newspapers. This consistent habit kept him updated without the stress of last-minute cramming.
Overall Strategy and Study Schedule
Paresh followed a very disciplined routine to manage his time effectively:
- 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM: Morning Study Session
- 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM: Break time
- 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM: Afternoon Study Session
His day would always start with an IBPS PO Prelim Mock Test. After that, he used modern tools like ChatGPT to practice English and Critical Reasoning. He ended his sessions with English Mains Sectional Mocks to ensure he was ready for the higher difficulty level.
Overcoming Hurdles
Missing out on selections by 0.5 or 0.25 marks can be heartbreaking. To stay mentally strong and overcome these hurdles, Paresh practiced Meditation. This helped him stay calm, focused, and ready to fight again the next day.
The Role of PracticeMock
Paresh credits a large part of his success to PracticeMock. He describes the Mock Tests as “superb.” The platform provided him with the right level of difficulty and the exact exam pattern, which allowed him to refine his strategy and improve his scores consistently over the years.
Message to Fellow Aspirants
Paresh’s advice to those currently preparing is clear and powerful:
“Focus on your strengths and avoid negativity. The path is difficult, but if you stay consistent and keep practicing, you will reach your goal. Don’t let small margins of failure discourage you; they are just signs that you are getting closer to your dream.”
Congratulations, Paresh Patil! Your persistence has finally led you to your goal, and PracticeMock is honored to have been part of your journey.
