Most candidates don’t know about the posts: MTS and Havaldar. The SSC MTS examination recruits for two main types of posts:

SSC MTS 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Interested candidates should fulfill 3 criteria to be eligible for the SSC MTS 2025 Exam. Before filling out the applications for the SSC MTS Exam, the candidates must know the minimum required Eligibility Criteria in terms of nationality, educational qualification, and age limit. SSC MTS Citizenship [Nationality]
A candidate is required to be
- A citizen of India
- Subject of Nepal
- Subject of Bhutan
- Tibetan Refugee
- People of Indian Origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Afghanistan, Kenya, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam.
SSC MTS Age Limit
The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:
- For most MTS positions: 18 to 25 years.
- For Havaldar positions and some specific MTS posts: 18 to 27 years.
- Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories (SC/ST, OBC, PwD, Ex-servicemen) as per government rules.
SSC MTS Age Relaxation
A candidate must be a minimum of 18 years of age and must not exceed 27 years of age. Candidates born not before 02-08-2000 and not later than 01-08-2007 are eligible to apply for Havaldar in CBIC and CBN, Department of Revenue.
