SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria 2025

1. Nationality / Citizenship
A candidate must be either:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A subject of Bhutan, or
- A candidate from category 2 or 3 must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
- Candidates requiring a certificate of eligibility are allowed to appear in the exam, but appointment will be confirmed only after the certificate is issued by the Government of India.
2. Educational Qualification
- For Sub-Inspector (GD) in Delhi Police & CAPFs:
Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. - For Sub-Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police (Male candidates only):
In addition to a Bachelor’s Degree, a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) is required as of the date of the Physical Endurance and Standard Tests (PE&ST). Note: Without a valid driving license, male candidates will not be allowed to appear for the PE&ST.
3. Age Limit
Candidates must be between 20 to 25 years of age as of 01.08.2025.
Date of Birth Range: Not earlier than 02.08.2000 and not later than 01.08.2005.
