Details Featured on the Scorecard

The RRB PO scorecard is highly detailed. Beyond your name and registration info, pay close attention to:

  • Sectional Marks: Your individual scores in Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude.
  • Sectional Cut-off: The minimum marks required to pass each subject.
  • Overall Cut-off: The qualifying mark specific to your State and Category (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, etc.).
  • Qualification Status: Whether you have been "Shortlisted for Mains."

The Normalization Factor

Because the PO exam is conducted across multiple shifts, IBPS employs the equi-percentile equating method. This ensures that if you sat for a "tough" shift, your raw score is adjusted upward to remain fair compared to someone who had an "easy" shift. This is why you may see decimal points (e.g., 56.75) in your final score.

What’s Next?

  • If you cleared: Your focus should shift immediately to the Mains and then the Interview. Remember, your Mains marks will stay with you until the final allotment.
  • If you missed out: Use the sectional breakdown to identify if "speed" or "accuracy" was the issue. If you passed the sectional cut-offs but missed the overall state cut-off, you need to increase your attempt rate in your stronger subject.
