RRB PO is a managerial-level post in regional rural banks (RRBs). The Probationary Officer (PO) position is also referred to as Officer Scale-I in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs).  This includes a combination of banking operations and supervisory responsibility. If hired, candidates will provide training for two years until they gain basic knowledge and understanding of various components of rural banking and financial services.

  • Branch Management & Cash Control: Supervising daily branch operations, managing cash transactions, reconciling daily reports, and ensuring strict compliance with all banking policies.
  • Credit & Lending: Processing customer loan applications, meticulously verifying supporting documentation, arranging new loans, and actively managing debt collection, particularly within the agricultural and small business sectors.
