IBPS RRB PO Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the RRB PO 2025 recruitment, candidates must meet the following educational and age requirements as of September 1, 2025.

  • Educational Qualification: A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Proficiency in the local language of the state applied for is mandatory.
  • Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years. (Age relaxation applies for reserved categories: SC/ST - 5 years, OBC - 3 years, PwD - 10 years).

Application Fees

The application fee for the IBPS RRB 2025 exam is as follows:

  • General/OBC/EWS: ₹850
  • SC/ST/PwD: ₹175

IBPS RRB PO Exam Pattern

The exam pattern is designed to test speed in Prelims and depth of knowledge in Mains.

  • Prelims: 80 Questions | 80 Marks | 45 Minutes (Reasoning & Quant).
  • Mains: 200 Questions | 200 Marks | 120 Minutes (Reasoning, Quant, GA, Language, Computer).
  • Interview: 100 Marks (Final merit is based on 80:20 ratio of Mains and Interview).

The syllabus is divided into two tiers, focusing on banking-related aptitude and general awareness.

Prelims Syllabus

  • Reasoning: Puzzles, Seating Arrangement, Syllogism, Blood Relations, Coding-Decoding.
  • Quant: Number Series, Data Interpretation, Quadratic Equations, Simplification, Arithmetic.

Mains Syllabus

  • General Awareness: Current Affairs (last 6 months), Banking Awareness, Static GK.
  • Computer Knowledge: MS Office, Networking, Hardware/Software, History of Computers.
  • Language: Reading Comprehension, Error Detection, Cloze Test.

Salary and Career Growth

The salary of an IBPS RRB PO has been revised under the 12th Bipartite Settlement, offering a very attractive package.

  • In-Hand Salary: Approximately ₹74,561 per month.
  • Career Ladder: Assistant Manager → Manager → Senior Manager → Chief Manager → AGM → DGM → GM.

Admit Card & Result

  • Admit Card: The Prelims admit card was released on November 10, 2025. The Mains admit card has been issued on December 21, 2025.
  • Result: The Prelims result was declared on December 19, 2025. Final results and provisional allotment are expected by January 2026.
