Moumita Chakraborty’s Success Story

I started preparing from August 2017 and then I got in Indian Post GDS in the year 2018. That was a confidence boosting event for me. Gradually I cleared a few prelims , I cleared RBI office attendant exam, ISRO JPA written exam but my wish of getting into a corporate world became true when I cleared RRB clerk in 2019-20 exam. Then in the year 2020 I got into UCO Bank after clearing IBPS clerk. Also my selection happened for FCI AG III (general) the next year . I chose to remain in the banking sector as I feel it’s quite a dynamic sector with lot of opportunities for growth. My preparation journey saw a lot of ups and downs primarily health issues and some amount of disdain. When I couldn’t clear mains after having cleared the prelims I used to feel as if I should leave my preparation. But one thing that kept me going was the success stories of many middle class people like me who have cleared the best of the best exams. I got a lot of inspiration from them ; from changing my time table , increasing the number of hours of practice and having a healthy lifestyle I did a lot of changes in my life to get to the place where I am today. My main focus used to be the mock test especially from practice mock and some study channels in YouTube. I also joined in Facebook forums dealing with exam preparation and that helped me clear my doubts. Normally i used to study for four hours in the morning , in between some few hours break and then practicing the mocks in evening. I used to analyse my performance in each mock and that helped me from not repeating the same mistakes in exam. I had strictly kept a two hours time for general awareness practice as I found it to be the most difficult of all the sections. Eventually with a disciplined approach I could clear a few exams and hope to clear even bigger exams in future. Thank you.

Computer Awareness Section Preparation Strategy

I had downloaded certain pdf of mock questions and that way I could learn it. Since I had it as a subject in my school and college I didn’t have to prepare it in a rigorous manner.

Overall Strategy, Study Schedule & Challenges Faced

I had a time table but it wasn’t very rigorous because while practicing for exams we also need to keep a check on our health. I made sure that I never gave a day off and was consistent in my practice. After clearing the prelims I gained a confidence that helped me prepare for mains exam. I used to practice 2-3 mocks everyday. And general awareness was something that I read whenever I used to get leisure time. I didn’t read from various sources but just two or three source was enough I felt. I also used to analyse my mistakes after every mock and keep a record of my scores in the mocks. I used to face lack of Confidence when I couldn’t clear mains after clearing prelims. One thing that kept me going was positive affirmation that if I still have the age and eligibility I will try till my last attempt. I read the inspirational stories of other people that motivated me greatly.
