The candidate must be

- or a migrant from the following countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.

- Uganda
- the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar)
- Zambia
- Malawi
- Zaire
- Ethiopia
- Vietnam
Age Limit:
- For Stenographer Grade ‘C’: 18 to 30 years as on 01.08.2023, i.e., candidates born not before 02.08.1993 and not later than 01.08.2005 are eligible to apply
- For Stenographer Grade ‘D’: 18 to 27 years as on 01.08.2023, i.e., Candidates born not before 02.08.1996 and not later than 01.08.2005 are eligible to apply.
- There’s age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, PwD, Ex-Servicemen, Defence personnel, and Central Government Civilian Employees.
Educational Qualification:
The Candidate must have successfully completed the 10th board examination.
Application Fee
- The application fee for the exam is INR 100/-.
- The fee can be paid only through online payment modes, namely BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Credit or Debit card.
How to Apply?
- Visit http://ssc.nic.in
- Click on the ‘Login’ tab at the top of the window and select ‘New Registration’
- The registration form will open. Enter the information in the respective fields.
- You will get the credentials through email.
- Open your email id and collect the credentials.
- Login to your account on the SSC website using your credential.
- Fill out the application form and click submit.
- Download the application form.
