Although the latest notification is not out yet, but previous records say that the SBI Clerk eligibility details are expected to be same for 2022 and no changes will be introduced.

SBI Clerk 2022: Educational Qualification

Given below are the detailed qualification requirements that you must fulfill to be eligible to appear in SBI Clerk 2022 exam:

  • You must be a graduate with 3 or 4 year degree in any discipline.
  • You must have secured at least 50% in class 10 and degree courses from a recognized university.
  • You can be in the final year of your degree (graduation) can take the exam but they must produce proof of passing the exams with at least 50% marks at the time of joining and should pass it before January 1, 2022.
  • You must be well versed in official and local languages.
  • If you possess an integrated dual degree (IDD), you must have a qualifying date on the degree before January 1, 2022.
  • You must be well versed in the English language (reading and writing).

SBI Clerk 2022: Age Limit

If you are dreaming of clearing the upcoming SBI clerk 2022 exam, you must be of 20 years of age or above as of January 1, 2022, and must not exceed 28 years of age, i.e. you should have been born not later than 01.04.2002 and not before 02.041994 (both days inclusive).

Note: Candidates who belong to the reserved category have age relaxation based on the category they belong to.

SBI Clerk 2022: Nationality

The interested candidate should be:

  • An Indian Citizen
  • The subject of Nepal and Bhutan
  • Tibetan refugees who has come to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in the country
  • Person of Indian origin who have migrated from countries like Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, and Kenya.

Note: Candidates other than permanent citizens of India must get an eligibility certificate approved by the Government of India in their favor.

Candidates under the reserved category have reservations in SBI clerical positions. There are a different number of vacancies provided based on different categories:

SBI Clerk Reservation for PWD/XS/DXS- Points to Remember

  • The reservation of the OBC category is only applicable to the “Non-creamy layer”. Candidates belonging to “Creamy Layer” cannot avail of the benefits. They need to mention the “General” or “General (LD/VI/HI/ d&e) category.
  • Candidates must provide the OBC certificate declaring the candidate to be of “Non-creamy layer”.
  • EWS category candidates may avail of the benefits after they produce the “Income and Asset Certificate” issued by the Government of India.
  • Candidates who are currently associated with SBI or in the past are not eligible to appear in the exam.
  • If there is an adverse report or weak CIBIL or other agency, such candidates will be rejected.
  • PwD candidates need to produce the “Disability Certificate” issued by Medical or any Component Authority in the district of residence.

Note: During the appointment, disabled Ex-servicemen and their dependents have priority over dependents of defense personnel killed or highly disabled (50%).

Who Cannot Appear In the SBI Clerk 2022 Exam?

All those candidates who have an adverse report regarding the character of the candidate, or any other related issue or those who have worked with SBI earlier at the clerical or officer position, or those who are already working with SBI at the clerical or officer position, or those who have adverse CIBIL or any other agency score cannot appear in the upcoming SBI Clerk 2022 Exam.
