Ques 1 What is new in this year’s notification? Is there any change in this year’s notification when compared to the last year’s notification?

Ans No, There is no change in this year’s notification when it comes to exam pattern, local language test etc.

Ques 2 Can I fill out the form for Chattisgarh if I am from Jharkhand?

Ans Yes! You can fill out the form for other states other than your residential state. However please ensure that you are proficient in the local language of the state from which you are applying. The detailed list of local language is there in the detailed notification.

Ques 3 Are SBI junior agricultural associate posts included or not in this recruitment?

Ans No! Jr Agricultural Associate posts are not included in this notification. This notification is only for Jr. Associates (Customer Support & Sales).

Ques 4 Will there be sectional timing in place for Prelims and Mains?

Ans Yes! sectional timings are there in place. In Prelims, there are 20 mins each for the 3 sections: English language, Numerical Ability & Reasoning Ability. And in Mains, Gen/ Financial Awareness & English have sectional timing of 35 mins each and Quantitative Aptitude & Reasoning will have 45 mins each.

Ques 5 Can I get transferred in my state post-selection?

Ans It’s clearly mentioned in the notification that there is no provision for Inter Circle Transfer / Inter State Transfer for Junior Associates to be recruited.

Ques 6 Are Jr. Associates (Customer Support & Sales) and SBI Clerk the same profile?

Ans Yes! They are one and the same.

Ques 7 Is any computer diploma mandatory to apply for these posts?

Ans No! You don’t require a computer diploma to apply for these posts.

Ques 8 My date of birth is Nov 30, 2001. Can I apply?

Ans Candidates should be not below 20 years and not above 28 years as of 01.08.2022. In other words, candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1994 and not later than 01.08.2002 (both days inclusive). So, you can apply.

Ques 9 Can I select prelims and mains exam centres in another state irrespective of the state for which I am applying?

Ans Yes! You can do so. But remember, no request for a change of centre for examination shall be entertained at a later point in time.

Ques 10 I have an education loan. Will it cause any issue in my selection?

Ans No! As long as you are not defaulting on your loan repayment, there should not be any issue.

Ques 11 In a few states they have given 2 to 3 languages, so do we need to know all the languages mentioned there?

Ans You need to know only one language mentioned against a state.

Ques 12 What is the salary of this post?

Ans The Payscale is 17900-1000/3- 20900- 1230/3- 24590- 1490/4- 30550- 1730/7- 42600- 3270/1- 45930-1990/1- 47920. The starting Basic Pay is Rs 19,900 (Rs 17,900 plus two advance increments admissible to graduates. The salary in hand would be around Rs 26,000 to 29,000 depending on the place of posting.

Ques 13 Do these vacancies include the recruitment of cashiers and other back-office workers at SBI?

Ans Yes! You may be posted as a cashier or any similar post.

Ques 14 How will the students be selected without sectional cut-offs in either Prelims or Mains?

Ans An overall cut-off will be decided and aspirants will be selected accordingly.

Caveat: We suggest you perform your best in each of the sections and not to rely on 1/ 2 sections.

Ques 15 I will get my degree final year results in the month of May. Can I apply?

Ans Those who are in the final year/semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before November 31, 2022.

Ques 16 I’m in the 6th semester of B. Com. Am I eligible to apply?

Ans Yes! If you can provide the proof of having passed the examination on or before November 31, 2022, you can apply.

Ques 17 If we write the exam in a state other than the native state, will the reservations be applicable?

Ans Yes! The reservations will be applicable.

Ques 18 I am working in a private bank but I can’t get the NOC Certificate. Will there be any issue in applying?

Ans No! There shouldn’t be any issue.

Ques 19 Can I choose sections randomly in Prelims?

Ans No! Since there is sectional timing in place, you can’t choose sections at your discretion. The system will automatically change the section once the time ends.

Ques 20 Once the Prelims Admit Card is released, after how many days will the Prelims take place?

Ans The Prelims exam should get conducted after 10-15 days once the Prelims Admit Card has been released.

Ques 21 Will there be an interview once the Prelims exam has been conducted?

Ans No! There is no interview Once the Mains exam is over.

Ques 22 Will the score of Prelims be considered in the final selection?

Ans The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for the selection and only the aggregate marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II) will be considered for preparation of the final merit list.

Ques 23 How many times can I apply for SBI Clerk exam? Is there a bar on the number of attempts?

Ans There is no bar on the number of attempts. So, as long as you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for this exam.

Ques 24 What is the Test of specified opted local language?

Ans Those who qualify for selection and produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be subjected to any Language test. In the case of others (qualified for selection), specified opted local language test will be conducted after provisional selection but before joining. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be offered appointment. Candidates not found proficient in specified opted local language would be disqualified.

Ques 25 Where will be the exam centre when we apply for another state? In our native place or the applied state.

Ans While filling out the form, you should choose the name of the Centre where he/ she desires to take the examination. It can be in your native state, applied state or any other state.
