SBI CBO Selection Process 2025
The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the recruitment process for Circle Based Officers (CBO) posts in 2025, with 2,964 vacancies available. The full selection process is a combination of four key stages:
Online Exam
The online examination is divided into two parts:
- Objective Test: Consists of 120 multiple-choice questions across four sections:
- English Language (30 questions)Banking Knowledge (40 questions)General Awareness/Economy (30 questions)Computer Aptitude (20 questions)
- Descriptive Test: Immediately follows the Objective Test and lasts for 30 minutes. It includes two questions:

Screening
After the online test, candidates’ applications and performance are reviewed by a Screening Committee. The committee assesses the eligibility and suitability of candidates based on predefined parameters. Only those meeting the criteria are shortlisted for the interview stage.
Interview

Local Language Proficiency Test
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the local language of the state they have applied for. SBI CBO Educational Qualification 2025
Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government, including Integrated Dual Degree (IDD). Candidates possessing qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, and Cost Accountant would also be eligible.
Note: The date of passing the eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the mark sheet or provisional certificate issued by the University/ Institute. In case the result of a particular examination is posted on the website of the University/ Institute, a certificate issued by the appropriate authority of the University/ Institute, indicating the date on which the result was posted on the website, will be taken as the date of passing.

- Age Limit: (As on 30.04.2025): Not below 21 years and Not above 30 years as on 30.04.2025 i.e. candidates must have been born not later than 30.04.2004 and not earlier than 01.05.1995 (both days inclusive).
