The IBPS RRB Clerk 2025 is a highly competitive exam, and with lakhs of aspirants applying every year, smart preparation becomes the key to success. Since the exam has two stages – Prelims and Mains – and no interview round, candidates must focus on building strong concepts, practising regularly, and improving speed and accuracy. The preliminary exam will be conducted on 6th, 7th, 13th and 14th December 2025, and the mains will be conducted on 1st Feb 2026. A unique advantage is that candidates can choose between English and Hindi as their language section, which makes it more flexible, especially for Hindi medium candidates. To help aspirants prepare effectively, we have created a 3-month study plan that covers month-wise and week-wise strategies for both Prelims and Mains.
Preparation of IBPS RRB Clerk 2025: Prelims to Mains
Preparing for the IBPS RRB Clerk 2025 exam needs a clear and smart plan. First, focus on the basics of Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude for the Prelims. Spend the first six weeks learning each topic and practising small tests. After that, start giving sectional mock tests and full-length mock tests. For the Mains exam, start preparing subjects like General Awareness, Computer Knowledge, English or Hindi, and Financial Awareness after the first month. Read current affairs daily and revise regularly. Practice as many mock tests as possible and learn from your mistakes.

RRB Clerk 3 Months Study Plan ( Pre+Mains)
Before starting preparation, the first step should be to look at the last 4-5 years of question papers. This will help you understand which topics are the most scoring, what types of questions are asked frequently, and what is the overall difficulty level of the exam. Once you know this, you will be able to plan your preparation better.
Next, focus on building clarity of concepts, as it is difficult to solve tricky questions without strong basics. Work on improving your accuracy, as even a single wrong answer can affect your score due to negative marking. Along with accuracy, practice time management techniques so that you can solve maximum questions in the limited time.
Start with the topics of Quant and Reasoning separately. Learn the formulas, short tricks, and logic behind each type of question, and try to identify the pattern commonly asked in exams. Also, you can start preparing for English and General Knowledge simultaneously, for example, by reading newspapers, short articles and regularly revising important current affairs.
In the section below, you will find a detailed month-wise plan for both Prelims and Mains exams.

This is the time to revise all important topics, practice full-length mock tests daily, and work on speed and accuracy. Analyze mistakes after every test and strengthen weak areas to ensure maximum scoring in the actual exam.
