Your stress might be a bit high which is ok; it actually helps you stay alert. Please note that this is not the time to learn new topics, but to revise what you already know. In this article, we are providing you with a guide to help you navigate these final 48 hours with confidence and clarity.

PNB LBO Exam Pattern

We know that you would have gone through the exam pattern umpteen number of times before; it doesn’t really hurt to go through it one more time. This ensures that there isn’t any confusion. So, before jumping into revision, remind yourself of the exam pattern. Knowing where the marks are helps you stay calm.

Section-Wise Quick Revision

Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation

Focus on speed-building “shortcuts” and basic formulas. Do not solve complex new problems.

  • Percentage-Fraction Conversion: Revise these conversions to save time in DI:
  • Speed & Work Formulas:
    • Average Speed: 2xy/(x+y) (when distances are equal).
    • Time & Work: If A does work in x days and B in y days, together they take (xy)/(x+y) days.
  • Squares & Cubes: Quickly run through squares up to 30 and cubes up to 15.

Reasoning & Computer Aptitude

  • Syllogism: Revise the “Only a few” and “Possibility” cases.6
  • Inequalities: Remember the priority of signs (> or < has higher priority than ≥ or ≤).
  • Blood Relations: Use a family tree diagram to avoid confusion during the exam.

General & Banking Awareness (The Score Booster)

This section has the highest weightage (50 marks).

  • Last 6 Months Current Affairs: Focus on Government Schemes (PM Vishwakarma, Lakhpati Didi), RBI News, and Appointments.
  • Static Banking: Taglines and Headquarters of major banks, RBI’s Monetary Policy instruments (Repo, Reverse Repo, MSF).
  • Static GK: Important Dams, National Parks, and International Organization headquarters.

The “One-Day-Before” Rule: No Mock Tests!

On January 3rd (the day before the exam), DO NOT take any full-length mock tests.

  • Why? A low score on the final day can shatter your confidence. A high score can lead to overconfidence.
  • What to do instead? Review the mistakes you made in previous mocks. Look at your “Noted Questions” or “Wrongly Attempted” sets.

Health, Sleep, and Stress Management

Your brain is like a battery; if you don’t charge it, it won’t perform on exam day.

  • Sound Sleep is Non-Negotiable: Aim for at least 7–8 hours of sleep on the night of January 3rd. Sleep deprivation leads to “silly mistakes” and slow calculation speeds.
  • Hydration & Food: Drink plenty of water. Avoid heavy, oily, or “outside” food today and tomorrow to prevent any stomach issues.
  • Manage Stress: If you feel anxious, practice 5 minutes of deep breathing. Remind yourself: “I have prepared well, and I just need to execute my plan.”

The Exam-Day Toolkit (Checklist)

Prepare your bag tonight (January 2nd) or tomorrow morning to avoid last-minute panic.

  1. Admit Card: Printed copy (check the reporting time).
  2. Photo ID: Original (Aadhar/Voter ID/PAN) plus a clear photocopy.
  3. Photographs: 2–3 passport-sized photos (same as uploaded).
  4. Stationery: Blue/Black ballpoint pen (though rough sheets are provided).

Final Words of Motivation

You’ve put in the hard work. The PNB LBO exam is a test of your confidence as much as your knowledge. Stay calm, skip questions that take too long, and keep moving.
