The Institute of Banking Personnel (IBPS) has released the Exam dates for the IBPS Clerk exam 2025. The IBPS Clerk selection process for the clerk is in 2 stages, that is, IBPS Clerk Prelims and IBPS Clerk Mains exam. The exam date for IBPS Clerk Prelims is 4th, 5th, and 11th October 2025, and the exam date for IBPS Clerk Mains exam is 29th November 2025. IBPS Clerk 2025 Prelims Exam Pattern

The IBPS Clerk 2025 Prelims exam pattern consists of 3 sections: Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and English. The exam pattern of IBPS Clerk 2025 Prelims is given below.

  • Total Marks: 100
  • Duration: 60 minutes (20 minutes per section)
  • Sections:
    1. English Language – 30 questions, 30 marks
    2. Numerical Ability – 35 questions, 35 marks
    3. Reasoning Ability – 35 questions, 35 marks
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer
  • Nature: Qualifying; marks not counted towards final selection
  • Language: English and Hindi (except for the English Language section)

IBPS Clerk 2025 Mains Exam Pattern 2025

The IBPS Clerk Mains exam Pattern contains 4 sections, and 2 subjects are added, such as General Awareness and Computer Aptitude. The detailed exam pattern for IBPS Clerk 2025 Mains is given below.

  • Mode: Online
  • Total Questions: 190
  • Total Marks: 200
  • Duration: 160 minutes
  • Sections:
    1. Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude – 50 questions, 60 marks, 45 minutes
    2. English Language – 40 questions, 40 marks, 35 minutes
    3. Quantitative Aptitude – 50 questions, 50 marks, 45 minutes
    4. General/Financial Awareness – 50 questions, 50 marks, 35 minutes
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer
  • Nature: Scoring; marks counted towards final selection
  • Language: English and Hindi (except for the English Language section

3. Build Foundation for IBPS Clerk Exams

The candidates have to first build their basic foundation. That is to make the fundamentals strong in each subject. The candidates need to understand and identify the question asked in the exam. For that For that you need to cover the basic formulas and concepts of each topic before diving deep into the topics mentioned above. Try to cover the basics first in each subject.
