IBPS Clerk 2025- Major Changes

IBPS Clerk notification has been released by IBPS on Aug 31, 2025. With a bumper number of vacancies of 10,277, this sure is a golden opportunity for banking aspirants. Change in Mains Exam Pattern

Mains exam pattern has been updated and now there are a total number of 155 questions with maximum marks of 200. Total time has also been changed to 120 minutes. Below is the detailed exam pattern:

Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) Introduced

IBPS has introduced a Local Language Proficiency Test in the selection process. Here are its details:

  • Candidates applying for a State/ UT should be proficient in the specified local language of that State/ UT.
  • Candidate can opt for 1 language from the list provided in the official notification.
  • Candidates who produce 10th standard or above mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified/ opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test.
  • This LLPT will be conducted after Mains exam/ Provisional allotment but before joining the bank.
  • This test will be conducted by an independent body/ the Bank and will be qualifying in nature.
  • Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be offered appointment and will be disqualified from the process.
