IBPS Clerk notification has been released by IBPS on Aug 31, 2025. With a bumper number of vacancies of 10,277, this sure is a golden opportunity for banking aspirants. Please note that some banks have not reported their vacancies so this number is likely to increase in the future. Also, there are some major changes this year. Have a look:
Change in Mains Exam Pattern
Mains exam pattern has been updated and now there are a total number of 155 questions with maximum marks of 200. Total time has also been changed to 120 minutes. Below is the detailed exam pattern:

Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) Introduced
IBPS has introduced a Local Language Proficiency Test in the selection process. Here are its details:
- Candidates applying for a State/ UT should be proficient in the specified local language of that State/ UT.
- Candidate can opt for 1 language from the list provided in the official notification.
- Candidates who produce 10th standard or above mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified/ opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test.
- This LLPT will be conducted after Mains exam/ Provisional allotment but before joining the bank.
- This test will be conducted by an independent body/ the Bank and will be qualifying in nature.
- Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be offered appointment and will be disqualified from the process.
