As you already know, the IBPS PO and SBI PO exams are over. Many candidates who are not satisfied with their performance in those exams are now focusing on IBPS Clerk with full dedication. This clearly shows how tough the competition is going to be this year. If you are also preparing for IBPS Clerk, then you must already be aware of the exam dates (4th, 5th, and 11th October). Looking at the exam date, you now have only 30 days left for your preparation. So it is important to study at least 10 hours a day to effectively cover all the topics and practice enough questions. In this article, we will discuss how to manage study hours effectively while keeping an equal focus on preparatory practice for the IBPS Clerk 2025 exam.

Why 30 days are important for IBPS Clerk 2025

  • This competition is tougher than other exams, as there is direct selection after the mains exam (no interview stage).
  • The prelims exam is only for qualifying, but good speed and accuracy are required to cross the cutoff.
  • Along with this, you should start preparing for General Knowledge (GA) for the mains exam as it covers many topics of banking and current affairs for 6 months, and last-minute preparation will not be enough.
  • Proper planning of study for 10 hours per day can help you make a balance between speed-practice of prelims and conceptual preparation of mains.

10-Hour Study Plan for the Last 30 Days

Here’s how you can divide your 10 study hours daily:

1. Quantitative Aptitude- 3 Hours

  • Focus on the most scoring topics like simplification, approximation, quadratic equations, and number series.
  • Practice DI & Arithmetic daily since these form the backbone of Prelims and are equally useful in Mains.
  • Solve at least 2 sectional tests of Quant every day.

2. Reasoning Ability- 3 Hours

  • Work on Seating Arrangement & Puzzles (high-weightage topics) & solve daily 10 to 20 questions to boost your reasoning score.
  • Revise Coding-Decoding, Inequalities, Syllogisms, Blood Relation, and Direction Sense daily.
  • Solve the previous year’s questions to understand the pattern and difficulty level.

3. English Language- 3 Hours

  • Practice Reading Comprehension daily to improve speed and accuracy.
  • Work on three things: Reading, Grammar and vocabulary.
  • Attempt daily topic test for cloze tests and para jumbles and other scoring topics.
  • Read our Hindu editorials to enhance vocabulary (also helpful for Mains descriptive).

4. General Awareness (GA) – 1 Hour

  • Even while preparing for Prelims, spend at least 45 mins-1 hour daily on GA because it plays a decisive role in Mains.
  • Cover:
    • Last 4–6 months of Current Affairs (Banking, Economy, Government Schemes).
    • Static GK related to banking.
    • Banking Awareness (RBI updates, financial terms, committees).
  • Make short notes and revise them daily.

Master Strategy to boost your marks in the IBPS Clerk 2025 exam

In the last few days, your focus should be on smart preparation rather than learning every new topic. Follow a proper routine, divide your study hours and take a mock test to boost your speed and accuracy for the IBPS Clerk 2025 exam. A well-planned strategy can give you an extra boost to score high marks.

Solve 10 to 20 questions daily from scoring topics

Practice is the key to clearing the prelims exam easily. Solve at least 10 to 20 questions daily from scoring topics. Regular practice will not only increase your speed but also help you identify shortcut tricks.

Solve previous year question papers to know the difficulty level

Previous year question papers are like a mirror of the actual exam. By solving these, you can understand the type of questions asked, the difficulty level and the importance of different topics.

Take Mock Tests to Increase Your Accuracy

Mock tests are the best way to test your preparation level. Take at least 3-4 full mock tests every week to test your speed, time management and accuracy. Analyse your mistakes after every test so that you do not repeat them.

Make short notes for all sections

Short notes are very helpful during revision. Write down important formulas, rules, shortcut tricks and general knowledge points in a notebook. These notes will help you revise quickly in the last few days.

Get into the habit of revision

Revision is as important as practice. Without revision, whatever you read may go out of your mind during the exam. Spend at least 1-2 hours daily revising the formulas & shortcuts to keep them fresh in your memory.
