IIFCL Grade A & B Exam Pattern

The selection process for IIFCL Grade A and Grade B consists of an online examination followed by a behavioral and technical interview. The online test evaluates candidates on both general aptitude and domain-specific professional knowledge.

IIFCL Grade A & B Syllabus 2026 

The syllabus is bifurcated into General Aptitude (Test I) and Domain-Specific Knowledge (Test II). While Test I is common for all, Test II varies based on the stream (Generalist or Environment) you apply for.

IIFCL Phase I: General Aptitude Syllabus 

This section tests the candidate’s basic mental ability and awareness of the financial sector.

  • English Language: Reading Comprehension, Error Detection, Cloze Test, Para Jumbles, Fill in the blanks, and Vocabulary.
  • Reasoning: Syllogism, Blood Relations, Puzzles, Seating Arrangement (Circular/Linear), Direction Sense, and Coding-Decoding.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: Data Interpretation (Tabular/Pie Chart), Number Series, Quadratic Equations, Arithmetic Word Problems (Profit & Loss, SI/CI, Time & Work).
  • Current Affairs (Financial): Recent RBI/SEBI circulars, Union Budget, Economic Survey, Banking Awareness, and Infrastructure Sector News.

IIFCL Phase II: Professional Knowledge Syllabus 

Test II focuses on the core competencies required for the role of an officer in an infrastructure lending institution.
