MHA has officially released the tentative IB MTS Answer Key 2026 on 29th January 2026 at the official website mha.gov.in. The Intelligence Bureau (IB) conducted the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and Security Assistant (SA) exam recently, and now the provisional answer key is live. Candidates who appeared for the exam on 27th January 2026 can now download their response sheet PDF. IB MTS Answer Key 2026 (Provisional)

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has uploaded the Provisional Answer Key along with the candidate’s Response Sheet. This is not the final result. It is just a tool for you to calculate your “Raw Score”. If you find that any answer marked by IB is wrong, you can raise an objection. After checking all objections, IB will release the Final Answer Key and then the Result.

How to Download IB MTS Answer Key 2026?

Downloading the answer key is very easy. You just need your login details. Follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit the Website: Go to the official website mha.gov.in or the direct link provided above.
  2. Login Page: A login page will open. Enter your User ID (Registration Number) and Password.
  3. Click Login: Press the submit button.
  4. Go to ‘Candidate Response’: On your dashboard, look for the tab that says “Candidate Response”.
  5. Generate PDF: You will see a line saying “To download your question paper, click here”. Click on “Here”.
  6. Save: Your answer key with your marked answers will open. Save it as a PDF.

How to Calculate Marks for IB MTS?

You don’t need a calculator. Just follow this simple formula to check your marks.

  1. Count your Total Correct Answers. Multiply them by 1.
  2. Count your Total Wrong Answers. Multiply them by 0.25.
  3. Formula: (Total Correct) – (Wrong × 0.25) = Your Raw Score.

Example: If you attempted 80 questions, got 60 correct and 20 wrong:

(60 × 1) – (20 × 0.25) = 60 – 5 = 55 Marks.
