RRB Group D CBT 2025 has finally kicked off, and it will end on 16th January 2025. As per Railway guidelines, live questions and topic-wise questions cannot be shared. RRB Group D Exam Analysis 2025: Section-Wise Difficulty and Good Attempts
The RRB Group D paper has 4 sections and 100 questions. Below, we have provided a breakdown of how tough each section felt and the ideal number of attempts.

RRB Group D Exam Overall Difficulty Level
As per the candidate’s feedback, the exam level was Easier than expected. Most candidates who prepared well found the paper Easy to moderate. This is excellent news, but it means that Accuracy (not making careless mistakes) is the most important thing.

Note: A “Good Attempt” means the number of questions you should aim to solve with confidence. With the penalty of 1/3 negative marking, solving 70–75 questions correctly is a very strong goal.
Expert’s Advice for Upcoming RRB Group D Exam Shifts
As per the candidate’s feedback, it has been clear that the exam is manageable but demands very high Accuracy and great Time Management.
- Practice with a Timer: Since the paper is lengthy, you must practice solving a full 100-question mock test in the allowed 90 minutes.
- Focus on Accuracy: With an Easy-to-Moderate paper, every correct question counts heavily. Attempt only when you are sure!
- Stay Calm: The next shifts will follow a very similar pattern. Just trust your existing preparation and manage your time wisely in the exam hall.

A safe attempt ranges between 70–75 questions, keeping accuracy in mind due to negative marking of 1/3rd for every incorrect answer.
The Reasoning section was the easiest, with simple logical questions, allowing candidates to attempt around 23–25 questions confidently.
Mathematics was Easy to Moderate with basic arithmetic questions, and well-prepared candidates could solve 18–20 questions accurately.
General Awareness had Easy to Moderate questions, mainly from current affairs and basic static GK, with 14–16 safe attempts.
The General Science section was moderate, featuring questions from basic Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, with 17–19 good attempts.
