The Reasoning Ability section in the RRB Clerk Prelims consists of 40 questions carrying 40 marks, to be attempted in 25 Minutes.

Understanding the RRB Clerk Reasoning Syllabus

The Reasoning Ability section tests logical thinking, analytical skills, and decision-making ability. The syllabus includes:

Puzzles and Seating Arrangement: Floor-based, circular, linear or box-based puzzles (10-15 questions).

Syllogism: Statements and conclusions (3-5 questions).

Inequalities: Direct and coded inequalities (3-5 questions).

Blood Relations: Family tree or coded relations (2-3 questions).

Coding-Decoding: Letter, number or symbol-based coding (3-5 questions).

Alphanumeric Series: Number, letter or mixed series (3-5 questions).

Direction Sense: Directions and distances (2-3 questions).

Data Sufficiency: Logical reasoning-based sufficiency questions (2-3 questions).

Miscellaneous: Sequence-order, word formation, etc. (2-5 questions).

This section has 40 questions, each question carries 1 mark, the preliminary exam has a time limit of 25 minutes.
