SSC Stenographer Eligibility for Female and Male

The eligibility criteria for SSC Stenographer (Grade C and D) are the same for both male and female candidates. check here’s a sort overview:

Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India, or subjects of Nepal/Bhutan, or Tibetan refugees who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanent settlement.

Age Limit:

  • Grade C: 18 to 30 years
  • Grade D: 18 to 27 years
    Age relaxation is provided to reserved categories such as SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), and others as per government norms.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) or equivalent from a recognized board or university as of the closing date of the application.

Skill Test Requirements:

  • Stenography Speed:
    • Grade C: 100 words per minute (wpm)
    • Grade D: 80 wpm
      The skill test is mandatory and qualifying in nature.

Physical Standards: There are no specific physical requirements or differences based on gender for the SSC Stenographer post.

  • Those candidates who have served as a combatant or non-combatant in the Army, Navy, and Air Force of the Indian Union.
  • Any person who has been released after completing the specific period of engagement, or at his own request, or dismissed on account of misconduct or inefficiency, and has been given a gratuity, and includes personnel of the Territorial Army (pension holders).
  • Candidates of the Army Postal Service who have served as a part of the Regular Army and retired from the Army Postal Service, or are released from the Army Postal Service on medical grounds and awarded medical or another disability pension.
  • Personnel who were on deputation in the Army Postal Service for more than six months prior to April 14, 1987.
  • All the Gallantry Award winners of the Armed Forces.
  • Ex-servicemen who are relieved on medical grounds with a medical disability pension.
