SSC GD Exam Pattern

Before going to the syllabus part, first understand how SSC conducts the exam. Means, number of questions asked in the exam, division of marks among the sections, sections involved in the exam, and much more.

SSC GD CBT Exam Pattern

  • Total Time: You get 60 minutes (1 hour).
  • Type: Computer-based online test, taken at SSC centers.
  • Total Questions: There are 80 questions.
  • Marks: Each question carries 2 marks (Total 160 marks).
  • Negative Marking: Be careful! For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be cut.

SSC GD Physical Test Pattern (PET/PST)

If you pass the written exam, you will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (Running) and Physical Standard Test (Height/Chest). The PET involves a running test that must be cleared within the time limit:
