Here, we have explained some dates and events related to the SSC GD recruitment process that you must know.

1. Official Notification Release

As part of the recruitment process, the SSC releases the SSC GD Notification as a PDF on its official website. This official document came out on 1st December 2025. It provided candidates with all the rules, vacancy details (25,487 vacancies), and eligibility requirements needed to apply for the Constable post. Along with that, the application window was opened. The deadline to submit the form was 31st December 2025. Missing this date meant losing the chance to join the force this year.

2. Application Correction Window

If a candidate made a mistake on their form, such as a typo in their name or an incorrect photo upload, SSC gave them a chance to fix it. This short correction window was open from 8th January to 10th January 2026. Candidates had to pay a small fee to make these important changes. Now, this window is closed.

3. SSC GD Admit Card & City Intimation

Before releasing the main admit card, SSC releases the Exam City Intimation Slip. This helps candidates know their exam city and date in advance so they can book train or bus tickets. You can expect this link to be active about 10 days before the exam starts. The actual Admit Card, which is the mandatory entry pass to the exam hall, will be released 4 days before your specific exam date.

4. SSC GD Computer-Based Exam Dates

This is the first stage. Only those candidates can appear whose application forms were successfully accepted. This year, the SSC GD Computer-Based Exam (CBE) is scheduled to start from 23rd February 2026 onwards. It will be held in multiple shifts across the country. Candidates who pass this exam will be eligible for the Physical Test.

5. SSC GD Answer Key Release

After the online exam is over, SSC will release the Provisional Answer Key, likely in March 2026. Candidates can use this key to check their answers and calculate their raw score. Along with that, they provide the raise objection window by which you can raise your objections against the answer key (if required).

6. SSC GD Result & Cut-Off Declaration

SSC has not provided any exact date for releasing the result, but you can expect the release of the result and cut-off around April or May 2026. This will contain the names of students selected for the running (physical) test and the minimum marks required to clear the exam.

7. Physical Test (PET/PST) Dates

Those who clear the written exam will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (Run) and Physical Standard Test (Height/Chest). This stage typically occurs 2-3 months after the release of the CBT result. The exact dates will be announced at a later time.
