SSC GD Educational Qualification
For SSC GD 2026, the educational requirement is very basic. You must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) from a recognized state or central board.
It does not matter if you studied from CBSE, ICSE, or any State Board. The only condition is that you must have your passing certificate or marksheet in your hand before the cutoff date (1st January 2026). If you are appearing for the 10th exam this year and your result is not out by the cutoff date, you are not eligible.
SSC GD Nationality
To apply for SSC GD, a candidate must be a citizen of India. Unlike some other exams, vacancies in SSC GD are state-wise. Therefore, you must be a resident of the state you are applying from and should have a valid Domicile Certificate (Permanent Resident Certificate) of that state to claim the vacancy.
SSC GD Percentage Required
Many students worry about their marks, but for SSC GD, there is no minimum percentage required.
Whether you scored 90% or just passed with 33%, you are eligible to apply. You simply need to be "Pass" in your 10th standard board exam. However, ensure that your cgpa or grades are converted accurately if your board uses a grading system, just to be safe during document verification.
