Documents Required During Your SSC GD Application Form

Before you start your form-filling process, you are strongly advised to keep these things ready in advance. You will need the details from these documents.

1. Mobile Number & Email ID: (Must be active for OTPs).
2. Aadhaar Card: (Or Voter ID/PAN Card if you don't have Aadhaar).
3. 10th Class Marksheet: (You need your Roll Number, Year of Passing, and Board Name).
4. Scanned Signature: A clear photo of your signature on white paper (Size: 10 KB to 20 KB in JPEG format).

How to Apply for SSC GD 2026 (Step-by-Step)

The process is divided into two parts: One-Time Registration (OTR) and Filling the Application Form.

Step 1: One-Time Registration (OTR)

2. Click on "Login or Register" at the top right corner.
3. Click on "Register Now".
4. Fill in your personal details like Aadhaar Number, Name, Father's Name, and Date of Birth (Same as your 10th certificate).
5. Verify your Mobile and Email using the OTP sent to you.
6. You will get a Registration Number and Password on your phone. Save this!

Step 2: Filling the Online Application Form

1. Login: Use your Registration Number and Password to log in at ssc.gov.in.
2. Find Exam: On your dashboard, look for "Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces Examination, 2026".
3. Click Apply: Click the "Apply" button.
4. Fill Details: Most details will be auto-filled from your registration. You need to select:
   • NCC Certificate: (Yes/No).
   • Exam Centre Preference: (Choose 3 cities nearest to you).
   • Medium of Exam: (Hindi, English, or Regional Language).
   • State of Domicile: (Your home state).
5. Force Preference: This is very important. You have to rank the forces (BSF, CISF, CRPF, etc.) according to your choice (e.g., A, B, C, D...).

Step 3: The Live Photo Capture (Important!)

SSC has changed the rule. You cannot upload an old studio photo.
