SSC CHSL Important Dates and Events Explained

Here, we have explained some events related to the SSC CHSL recruitment process that you must know.

1. Official Notification Release

As part of the recruitment process, the SSC releases the SSC CHSL Notification in the form of a PDF on its official website. This official document came out on June 23, 2025. It provides candidates with all the rules, vacancy details, and eligibility requirements needed to apply for posts such as LDC and DEO. Along with that, they provide an application form by which interested and eligible candidates can appear for this recruitment after filling it out. The deadline to submit the application and pay the fee was July 18, 2025. Missing this date means you lose your chance to appear in the exam for the entire year.

2. Application Correction Window

If a candidate made a mistake on their form, such as a typo in their name or an incorrect photo upload, SSC gave them a chance to fix it. This short correction window was open on July 25 and 26, 2025. A small fee was charged to make these important changes.

3. Slot Selection Window (New Feature)

For the current cycle, SSC allowed candidates to choose their preferred exam date and shift. This "self-slot selection" window was available from October 22 to 28, 2025. This step helped candidates better manage their travel and schedule by selecting an available time slot.

4. Exam City Intimation Slip

Before starting the exam or releasing the admit card. SSC releases the Exam City Intimation Slip to help candidates know their exam city and date in advance so that they can plan their travel arrangements and book tickets early. For the 2025 recruitment, they have released this prior information on November 5, 2025

Note: This is not the final entry card.

5. SSC CHSL Tier 1 Admit Card

An admit card is an important document that helps candidates enter the examination hall and provides details about their exam center, shift timings, general instructions, and more. This is the mandatory entry pass to the exam hall. The Admit Card was released on November 9, 2025

6. SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam Dates (CBT)

The computer-based test (CBT), called the Tier 1 exam, was held over multiple days, from November 12 to 30, 2025. Candidates who pass this exam will be eligible to appear for the Tier 2 exam.

7. SSC CHSL Tier 1 Provisional Answer Key & Objections

After the first-stage exam (Tier 1), the SSC will release the provisional answer key. You can expect the provisional answer key to be released in December 2025. Candidates can use this key to check their answers and raise an objection (by paying a fee) if they believe an official answer is wrong.

8. SSC CHSL Tier 1 Result & Cut-Off Declaration

After reviewing all objections, SSC will declare the Tier 1 Result and the Cut-Off Marks (the minimum qualifying score). This is expected to happen in January 2026. Candidates who score above the cut-off qualify for the Tier 2 exam.

9. SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Dates (CBT)

Those who successfully clear the first stage exam (Tier 1) will be eligible to appear for the Tier 2 exam. The second test, merit-deciding exam, Tier 2, is tentatively scheduled for February or March 2026. This is a comprehensive online test that determines your final rank. The syllabus includes advanced Maths, Reasoning, and a mandatory Computer Knowledge section.

10. Final Result, Document Verification, and Skill Test

After the Tier 2 results are announced, the final stage begins. Qualified candidates must pass the Skill Test/Typing Test and attend Document Verification (DV). After clearing DV, the final merit list and job postings are released.
