SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria 2025

SSC has provided the SSC CHSL eligibility criteria details in its official notification. Candidates must check before filling out the application form. To be eligible for this, candidates must be Indian citizens or fall under certain eligible categories, like subjects of Nepal/Bhutan or Tibetan refugees who settled in India before January 1, 1962. Candidates must hold a 10+2 (Intermediate) or equivalent qualification from a recognized board. The minimum age limit is 18 years, and the maximum is 27 years, calculated as on 1st August 2025. For reserved candidates, there are some relaxations (details are provided below).  Additionally, applicants for specific Data Entry Operator (DEO) posts must have passed 10+2 with the Science stream and Mathematics as a subject. Importantly, there is no limit on the number of attempts you can make, provided you satisfy this age criterion.

SSC CHSL Age Relaxation 2025

SSC CHSL Educational Qualification

SSC CHSL Percentage Required

Unlike some other exams, the SSC CHSL eligibility criteria do not specify a minimum percentage requirement in the 10+2 examination. Just passing the examination from a recognized board/university is enough, provided you meet the stream requirements for the DEO post.

SSC CHSL Nationality

To apply for SSC CHSL 2025, candidates must meet the nationality eligibility mentioned below:

1. A citizen of India, or
2. A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
3. A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962, intending to settle permanently, or
4. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from countries like Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries, intending to settle in India permanently.

The SSC CHSL Physical Disability 2025 guidelines allow candidates with certain disabilities like low vision, hearing issues, or limb impairments to apply for LDC and DEO posts, with eligibility based on specific physical criteria set by SSC. SSC CHSL Number of Attempts

There is no fixed number of attempts to apply for the SSC CHSL exam. There is a criterion of an age limit. One can apply as many times as they are under the age limit criteria. This means you can apply as many times as you want, but only while you fall within the age range of 18 to 27 years. So, before applying, make sure your age is within the eligible limit to avoid disqualification.
