Details Mentioned on the Scorecard

The scorecard is a detailed document that includes several details, and some of them have been given below.

  • Candidate Name: Your full name as registered during the application process.
  • Roll Number & Registration Number: The roll number allotted and the registration numbers as per the details.
  • Category: General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, etc.
  • State Applied For: The state/UT from which you appeared.
  • Sectional Cut-off: The minimum marks required to pass each section.
  • Overall Cut-off: The qualifying mark for your specific state and category.
  • Marks Obtained: Your actual score in each section and the total normalised score.

Normalisation of Marks

Since the IBPS RRB Clerk exam is conducted in multiple shifts, the difficulty level may vary. IBPS uses a normalization process based on the equi-percentile method to ensure fairness among all. This means your final score might be slightly higher or lower than your actual attempts to account for the variation in paper difficulty across shifts.

What After the Scorecard?

  • If you cleared the prelims, focus entirely on the Mains Exam (scheduled for Feb 1, 2026). The Mains scorecard will be the final deciding factor for your provisional allotment, as there is no interview for the clerk post.
  • If you didn't clear the prelims, then don't lose heart! Use the sectional breakdown in the scorecard to identify your "weak spots." This data is invaluable for refining your strategy for the upcoming bank exams.
