Please brief us on when did you start preparing for the competitive exams and how was your preparation journey

I started preparing for banking exams from July 2022 onwards. After brushing up the basics, I relied completely on the mocks available on practice mock site. I analysed my mistakes from the mocks and worked on improving those. By following this simple strategy and giving a lot of mocks, I was able to clear both IBPS PO and SBI PO in my 1st attempt.

How did you prepare for the English section?

English section has always been my forte. I used to read newspaper editorials and a lot of novels during college, which eventually helped me in gaining a good grasp over this section. To maintain my consistency in this section, I solely relied on giving mocks.

How did you prepare for the Quantitative Aptitude section?

To prepare for quantitative aptitude, I started with learning multiplication tables till 25, cubes till 25, and squares of upto first 50 numbers. I used to revise them daily. I learnt how to solve quadratic equations and few other concepts through YouTube. I also solved the arithmetic section from Rakesh Yadav Class Notes. That helped me a lot in building up my basics. Post that, I used to give mocks from PracticeMock for building speed and accuracy.

How did you prepare for the Reasoning section?

After learning the approach of solving puzzles, I attempted mocks to build my speed and accuracy in solving such questions.

What was your strategy for the General Awareness section?

I used to revise Weekly Current Affairs from AffairsCloud PDF and give quizzes on PracticeMock. Although personally, I found the GA section to be on a tougher side this time and couldn’t score a lot in this section.

What was your overall strategy? Did you follow a study schedule? If yes, please share the details

Completely relied on YouTube.

Did you face any hurdle as well? How did you overcome it?

I didn’t have a very strict study schedule. But I made sure that I give mocks as much as possible and keep revising current affairs. I initially found the mains exam to be very time taking and mind- numbing. But then I got used to the time duration as consistent practice helped me in getting accustomed to the rigour of these exams.

Did PracticeMock help you in your success? Please elaborate

Yes, I would attribute a big part of my success to the mocks provided by Practice Mock. This was the only mock test series that I followed religiously and it helped me in preparing for my exams in the best way possible. The mocks used to be tougher than the real exam level, due to which I used to find the real exam paper a cakewalk. Also, the analysis provided after submitting the paper was top-notch. A huge thanks to PracticeMock for making this journey easier for me.
