Master Strategy to Score Full Marks in the Quant Section

Scoring full marks in the Quant section is not just about practising a lot of questions — it’s about smart preparation, concept clarity, and time management. Here’s an easy and effective plan to help you score maximum marks.

Clear Your Basics First

If you want to score full marks, your basics must be strong. Topics like Percentages, Ratios, Averages, Profit & Loss, and Speed & Distance form the base for most Quant questions. Revise every formula, understand when and how to apply it, and practice simple problems before moving to difficult ones.

Focus on High-Scoring Topics

As you know, if you want to score full marks, you should learn all the topics well. But some topics can help you score faster like Simplification, Approximation, Quadratic Equations, Number Series, and Data Interpretation (DI). These topics are time-saving if you’ve practised them well. Try to master these first. Practice them daily until you can solve each question in less than a minute with full accuracy. Once you are confident in these, start revising the Arithmetic topics.

Practice Daily to Build Speed

Quant is all about practice. Solve at least 20–30 questions daily and track how much time you take for each one. Focus on improving both speed and accuracy together. Learn Vedic math tricks, percentage shortcuts, and multiplication hacks; they help you save time in the real exam.

Attempt Full-Length Mock Tests Regularly

Mocks are the best way to test your preparation. Attempt at least one mock test per week in the beginning, and increase it to three or more mocks per week as the exam nears. After every mock, analyze your mistakes and identify weak topics. This will help you know exactly where you need improvement.

Attempt Rank Booster Mock Test

The RRB PO 2025 Exam is conducted in multiple shifts, and the question pattern may vary in each one. For example, some shifts may focus on different types of Puzzles or Seating Arrangements, while others may include tricky Number Series or Arithmetic questions. To help you handle every shift confidently, we’ve designed Rank Booster Tests with 5 specially prepared mocks at different difficulty levels

Work on Weak Areas Separately

Instead of ignoring your weak topics, give them extra time. Take topic-wise tests on those areas and practice until you gain confidence. Strengthening weak areas can help you gain the extra 5–10 marks that make a big difference in your final score.

Make Short Notes for Quick Revision

Before the exam, you should have your own set of short notes, containing formulas, important tricks, and quick calculation tips. Revise them daily, especially in the last week. These notes help you recall concepts quickly and stay confident on exam day.

Time Management in Exam

In the exam, start with easy and direct questions first. Don’t waste time on lengthy ones in the beginning. Manage your time smartly, aim to solve sure-shot questions first, then move to medium and tough ones. Always keep the last few minutes for rechecking.
