The SBI Careers portal (on sbi.co.in) is the official gateway for all recruitment activities at the State Bank of India. Steps To Fill the SBI PO 2025 Application Form

Step 1: Visit the Bank’s website https://bank.sbi/careers/current-openings and open the Online Application Form, available under ‘Current Openings’.
Step 2: Fill out the application carefully. Once the application is filled out completely, candidates should submit their data. In case a candidate is unable to fill in the data in one go, he/ she can save the entered data. On saving a complete/ partially complete application, a provisional registration number and password is generated by the system and displayed on the screen which should be carefully noted.
Step 3: Candidates can reopen and edit their saved application form (if required) by using their registration number and password.
Step 4: Once the application is filled out, candidates should carefully check the form before
final submission. No change/ edit will be allowed thereafter. The registration at this stage is provisional.
After rechecking and ensuring the correctness of the particulars in the application form, the candidate should
pay fees through the payment gateway integrated with the application, by following the instructions
available on the screen.
Step 5: The payment can be made by using debit card/ credit card/ Internet Banking by providing information as asked on the screen. Transaction charges for online payment, if any, will be borne by the candidates.
Step 6: On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt and application form will be generated, which may be printed for record.

Note: If the online transaction is not completed, please register again and make payment online. There is also a provision to reprint the e-receipt and Application form containing fee details, at a later stage. Please do not send the printout of the application form to the Bank.

SBI PO 2025 Application Form Fee

The SBI PO Application Fee will be 750/- for General/ EWS/ OBC candidates and ‘Nil’ for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates. Application Fee once paid will NOT be refunded on any account nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.

SBI PO Eligibility Criteria 2025

To apply for the SBI PO 2025 exam, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria, as outlined in the notification:

SBI PO Eligibility 2025: Education Qualification (as on 30.09.2025):

Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. Those who are in the Final Year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally, subject to the condition that, if called for an interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 30.09.2025. Candidates having an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 30.09.2025. Candidates possessing qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, etc. would also be eligible.

Note: The date of passing the eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the mark sheet or provisional certificate issued by the University/ Institute. In case the result of a particular examination is posted on the website of the University/ Institute, a certificate issued by the appropriate authority of the University/ Institute, indicating the date on which the result was posted on the website will be taken as the date of passing.

SBI PO Eligibility 2025: Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 30 years (as of April 1, 2024)
  • Date of Birth Range: Candidates must have been born between April 2, 1994, and April 1, 2003 (both dates inclusive).

BI PO 2025 Selection Process

The SBI PO 2025 recruitment process comprises three phases, each designed to assess candidates’ aptitude, knowledge, and personality. The final merit list is prepared based on performance in Phases II and III, with Phase I being qualifying in nature.

Phase I: Preliminary Examination

  • Mode: Online, objective-type test
  • Duration: 1 hour
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Sections:
    • English Language: 40 questions
    • Quantitative Aptitude: 30 questions
    • Reasoning Ability: 30 questions
  • Marking Scheme: 1 mark per correct answer; 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer
  • Cut-Off: No sectional cut-off; overall merit list determines shortlisting
  • Shortlisting: Approximately 10 times the number of vacancies are shortlisted for the Main Examination.

Phase II: Main Examination

  • Mode: Online, comprising objective and descriptive tests
  • Duration: 3 hours (Objective) + 30 minutes (Descriptive)

SBI PO Pre-Exam Training

Bank will arrange pre-examination training (PET) in online mode for SC/ ST/ OBC / PwBD candidates in consonance with the guidelines issued by the Government of India. All eligible candidates who opt for and wish to avail of Pre-Examination Training (PET) should fill in the relevant column in the online application. Candidates opting for Pre-Examination Training should login for training from Bank’s website by entering their registration number and date of birth. Intimation regarding the schedule of Pre-Examination Training will be shared with the candidates through their registered email and SMS. No hard copies will be sent.

Candidates who have already appeared for the maximum number of permissible chances are not eligible to apply. The number of chances will be counted from the examination held on 18.04.2010. Appearing in the Preliminary Examination will not be counted as a chance. Appearing in the Main Examination will be counted as a chance. In the years in which only one written examination has been held (i.e. no Preliminary Examination has been held), appearing in this examination will be counted as a chance.

SBI PO Biometric Verification

The Bank, at various stages, may capture a photo and thumb impression/ IRIS Scan of the candidates in digital format for biometric verification of the candidates. Candidate will ensure that his/ her correct thumb impression/ IRIS Scan is captured at various stages, as any inconsistency will lead to rejection of their candidature. Accordingly, candidates are advised to follow the guidelines that shall be provided to them in their call letter. In case any candidate is found not to be genuine, then apart from taking legal actions against him/ her, his/ her/ their candidature will be cancelled. Further, the candidate is advised not to apply any external matter like Mehandi, ink, chemical, etc. on his/ her hands.
