SSC set the eligibility for SSC MTS which is based on various factors like age, educational qualification, and nationality. The age limit for the SSC MTS 2023 posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are

Age Criteria (As of 01-08-2023)

The Candidate who is applying for SSC MTS 2023 must be 18 to 27 years of age. Here is the detailed information:

• 18-25 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02.08.1998 and not later than 01.08.2005) for MTS and Havaldar in  CBN  (Department of Revenue).
• 18-27 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02.08.1996 and not later than 01.08.2005) for Havaldar in CBIC (Department of Revenue) and a few posts of MTS

SSC MTS Permissible relaxation in Upper age limit for different categories are as under:

Educational Qualifications

As per SSC MTS 2023 Notification the candidate must have passed matriculation or equivalent examination from a recognized board. 

• The candidates must have passed the Matriculation Examination or equivalent from a recognized Board.
• Note: Relaxation in Upper age limit as per Govt.'s norms.

Nationality/ Citizenship

For SSC MTS 2023 Exam the candidates must be either:

(a) a citizen of India, or 

(b) a subject of Nepal, or 

(c) a subject of Bhutan, or 

(d) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
