The SSC GD exam is a recruitment test conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for various posts of General Duty (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), National Investigation Agency (NIA), Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles. The exam consists of four stages: Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST) and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Note:
After passing the written exam candidates need to appear for the physical efficiency test (PET). All the candidates need to pass the PET exam otherwise their candidature will be cancelled.

Candidates applying for GD Constable (BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSF, SSB, NIA and riflemen) must have passed 10th class or equivalent from a recognized board.
SSC GD Age Limit (as on 01/01/2024)
Candidate is required to be between 18 to 23 years in order to be eligible for SSC GD Exam. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02-01-2001 and later than 01-01-2006. Age relaxation is given to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per the government rules.
