SBI Apprentice 2023 Important Dates
The State Bank of India (SBI) has released the notification for the recruitment of apprentices for various states and union territories. The online application process has started on September 1, 2023 and will end on September 21, 2023. Candidates who are interested and eligible can apply online through the official website of SBI.
The selection process of SBI apprentice consists of an online written test and a local language test. The online written test is tentatively scheduled to be held in the month of October/ November, 2023. The exact date, time and venue of the exam will be intimated to the candidates through their registered email ID and mobile number.

SBI Apprentice 2023- How to Apply?
To apply for the SBI Apprentice exam, you need to fill an online application form on the SBI website. You will have to provide your personal details, educational details, and upload scanned copies of your documents. You will also have to pay an application fee of Rs. 300 through online mode. The candidates who are interested and eligible can apply online for the SBI apprentice exam by following the instructions given below.
Application Process
The candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online for the SBI apprentice exam by following these steps:
- Visit the official website of SBI careers at https://www.sbi.co.in/careers.
- Click on the link "ENGAGEMENT OF APPRENTICES UNDER THE APPRENTICES ACT, 1961" under the "Latest Announcements" section.
- Read the detailed advertisement carefully and click on the link "Apply Online".
- Register yourself by entering your basic details and generating a registration number and password.
- Log in with your registration number and password and fill in the online application form with your personal, educational and other details.
- Upload your scanned photograph, signature and documents as per the specifications given in the notification.
- Pay the application fee of Rs. 300 (for general, OBC and EWS candidates) or Rs. NIL (for SC, ST and PWD candidates) through online mode using debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI.
- Submit your application form and take a printout of it for future reference.

SBI Apprentice 2023- Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
The candidates who wish to apply for the SBI Apprentice exam must be between 20 and 28 years of age as on August 1, 2023. There is a relaxation of upper age limit for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per the government norms.
Educational Qualification
The candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institute as on August 1, 2023. The candidates who are in the final year or semester of their graduation can also apply provisionally, subject to the condition that they must produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before August 1, 2023.
Language Proficiency
The candidates must have studied the local language of the state or union territory for which they are applying as one of the subjects in class 10th or 12th standard. The candidates will have to produce certificates or marksheets as proof of having studied the local language. Alternatively, the candidates will have to appear for a language test conducted by the bank before joining as an apprentice.

State Bank of India (SBI) conducts an online examination for the recruitment of apprentices in various states and union territories. Online Written Test
The first stage of the selection process is an online written test, which consists of four sections: General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The total duration of the test is one hour and the total marks are 100. The candidates have to qualify in each section by securing the minimum cut-off marks decided by the bank.

Note: There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Local Language Test
The candidates who qualify in the online written test will be called for a local language test, which will be conducted by the bank in the respective states or union territories. The candidates have to prove their proficiency in the local language of the state or union territory they have applied for. The local language test will be of qualifying nature and no marks will be allotted for it. The candidates who fail to qualify in the local language test will be disqualified from the selection process.

Medical Examination
The final stage of the selection process is a medical examination, which will be conducted by the bank to ensure that the candidates are medically fit for the apprenticeship. The medical examination will be as per the standards prescribed by the bank. The candidates who are found medically unfit will be rejected from the final selection.
Final Selection
The final selection of the candidates will be based on their performance in the online written test, subject to their qualification in the local language test and medical examination. The bank will prepare a merit list of the candidates in each state or union territory and allot them to various branches as per their preference and availability of seats. The candidates who are selected as apprentices will have to undergo a training period of one year, during which they will receive a stipend of Rs. 15,000 per month.
