LIC AAO Selection Process 2025
The selection process for Assistant Administrative Officers (AAOs) has 3 stages. These 3 stages are
- the Preliminary Exam, (60 minutes, 70 marks, 20 minutes each section, English is qualifying)
- the Mains Exam, and (2.5 hours, 5 subjects, 300 marks, 25 marks descriptive English test, which is qualifying only)
- The interview round. (The interview is of 60 marks and is counted in the final merit list)
Prelims is only qualifying, and Mains + Interview marks are counted for final merit.
A Pre-recruitment Medical Examination will follow the interview round.
The marks you score in the Preliminary Exam or Phase I will not be counted when preparing the final merit list. The Prelims exam consists of three sections: Quant, Reasoning, and English (qualifying).
Only the marks from the Mains Exam will be used for shortlisting candidates for the Interview. Your Mains Exam marks and Interview marks will be added together for the final merit list.

LIC AAO Basic pay is Rs 88,635/month in the scale of Rs 88,635 to Rs 1,69,025. With allowances (HRA+CCA), LIC AAO In-hand salary around Rs 1,26,000/month in ‘A’ Class city.
