After months of preparation, what you do in these last few days decides how confidently you will walk into the exam hall. If you’re nervous right now, remember that this phase is about smart revision and not new learning. With the right strategy, you can turn your preparation into performance. In this blog, let’s discuss some powerful last-minute preparation tips for IBPS SO Prelims 2025.

Last Minute Preparation Tips for IBPS SO Prelims exam 2025

In the last few days remaining for the IBPS SO Prelims exam 2025, you should only focus on revision and time management. What you study in these last days will most probably remain in your memory till the exam. Therefore, you should revise important formulas of Arithmetic, solve DI sets, and revise short tricks for quantitative aptitude. Don’t learn any new short trick now if you don’t know the concept behind it. Make yourself well-versed with important grammar rules to score well in the English language section. Solve questions of Puzzles, Seating arrangements, Data Analysis, Inequality, Syllogism, Blood Relation, and Critical Reasoning.

In the last minutes remaining for the exam, focus on time management, revise important topics, accuracy over attempts, and stay calm and exam ready.

Focus on Time Management

IBPS SO Prelims comes with a strict sectional time limit of 40 minutes per section (Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language). This means:

  • You cannot afford to get stuck on a single question.
  • You get less than 1 minute for each question.
  • You need to attempt 50 questions in only 40 minutes.
  • You have got time to improve your speed and accuracy through our test series.
  • Practice with full-length mock tests in a timed environment.
  • Till now, you must have downloaded your admit card. Try sitting for 2 hours straight and attempt a test at the actual exam time as mentioned on your admit card.
  • This way, you will build a muscle memory of attempting questions in a time-bound condition.
  • Attempt your stronger section first during revision to boost confidence.

Spend the last few days taking sectional mocks, topic-wise tests, and 3 to 4 full-length tests to strengthen your speed and accuracy.

Revise Important Topics – Don’t Start Anything New

At this stage, your focus should be on revision and recall:

  • Go through important formulas, shortcuts, and reasoning tricks.
  • Revise vocabulary and grammar rules for English.
  • Practice data interpretation, inequality, syllogism, and puzzle-based reasoning.

Do not try to learn new concepts because it will only create confusion. Trust the preparation that you’ve already done.

Your Priority Should be Accuracy Over Attempts

Many aspirants make the mistake of attempting too many questions under pressure. Remember, IBPS SO has negative marking (1/4th of the marks allotted to that particular question will be deducted for each wrong answer).

  • Attempt only those questions which you’re confident about.
  • Avoid blind guessing because it can cost you marks.

It’s better to have 65 accurate attempts than 80 with too many errors.

Stay Calm & Exam-Ready

Your mind is your biggest strength in these last hours.

  • Sleep well the night before the exam.
  • Keep all documents ready: admit card, photo ID, and photographs.
  • Carry only allowed items (pen, water bottle, sanitizer, etc.).
  • Reach the exam center early (30 minutes before reporting time)  to avoid last-minute panic.

Remember, a calm mind solves a question faster than a stressed one.

If you have still not downloaded the admit card, download it now and check your shift time!
