The IBPS Clerk is one of the most important and popular exams among aspirants. As its online application has already started, many students will begin focusing on important documents, such as marksheets and original ID. But one such thing that is quite neglected is the Handwritten Declaration, which can result in rejection of your application. What is the IBPS Clerk Handwritten Declaration?

It is a personal statement that declares that the information provided by the applicant is confirmed, and it is used as one of the important documents for the validation of the application.

Key Details of the Declaration

The declaration statement that has to be written is as follows- 

“I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

Replace “[Your Name]” with your full name as per your application. Using nicknames, initials, or abbreviations is not acceptable.

Why is the Handwritten Declaration Important?

It is important as it provides authenticity to your application or the details provided by you in the application. It also acknowledges that you take full responsibility for the information provided is filled with accuracy. An application without a correct handwritten declaration can be rejected. 

How to Write the Handwritten Declaration for IBPS Clerk

Follow the steps given below to write a perfect Handwritten Declaration for IBPS Clerk

• The applicant has to write the declaration in English only. 
• Clearly, on a white paper with black ink. 
• The File type should be in JPG/JPEG format. Dimensions: 800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality), i.e., 10 cm * 5 cm (Width * Height) 
• File Size: 50 KB – 100 KB  

Note: The handwritten declaration has to be in the candidate’s handwriting and in English only. The text should NOT BE IN CAPITAL LETTERS. 

If the declaration is written by anybody else and uploaded or in any other language, the application will be considered invalid. (In the case of candidates who cannot write, they may get the text of the declaration typed and put their left-hand thumb impression (if not able to sign also) below the typed declaration and upload the document as per specifications) 

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Here are a few common mistakes to avoid while writing and uploading the hand declaration

• Use only a black ink ball pen to write on white paper. Do not use any other ink colour.
• Write the official text as it is; do not alter.
• Scan the document properly and upload it in the given instructed size.
