Tips to manage last 15 days of RBI Grade B preparation
Here are a few tips to keep in mind while revising in the last fifteen days of RBI Grade B exam.
Stick to a Particular Plan
What students generally do is they change their study routine or plans in these last days because of anxiety and pressure to complete the syllabus. But what toppers do is they stick to a particular plan and follow it religiously, no matter what shortcuts they get on various telegram channels and other resources. Yes, they play smart by figuring out the most important topics and revising them only instead of completing the whole syllabus.
Analyse the Mocks Precisely
You need to devote double the time that you’ve invested in giving the mocks to analysis. As you need to analyse the number of questions you’ve skipped and why you skipped those questions, do you lack the concept needed to solve those particular questions? Or is it time-consuming and may not yield the expected output? The questions that are not correct and have you miscalculated, or have you used the wrong method to solve those questions? How much have you invested in solving a particular problem? Did you get stuck on solving any questions and give 3-4 minutes to a particular problem? Note down all the details and revisit them before giving the next mock so that it may not repeat the next time.
Focus on your weak areas
If you’ve noticed the above table, we have devoted the mid-phase of the revision plan to practice weak arithmetic, reasoning topics like puzzles and inequality, along with the grammar rules. This is not the appropriate time to start any new topic. Revise the ones that you’ve already covered or have learn the concept, just need some practice on that.
Balance between Speed and Accuracy
Often, you’ll notice, during your preparation, that if your speed increases, then your accuracy will decrease and if accuracy increases, then speed declines. This is the time when you need to practice to make a balance between the two, as both of them are required to get a cutoff score in this examination. For speed, use a timer, but make sure you are maintaining at least 90% accuracy.
Simulate the exam timing
We are focusing on simulating the exact exam timing because it will help you to get accustomed to the same routine that you’ll going to follow on the exam day. Your mind gets habituated to being active at that particular time of the day, and hence, you’ll be able to be in hyperactive mode on the exam day, and it will definitely improve your performance. One more thing, while you’re giving mocks, make sure there are zero distractions, just like the examination hall.
