Overview of NICL AO Recruitment 2025

The National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) is a public sector insurance company. It has posted 266 vacancies this year for the post of administrative officer. The recruitment process is conducted in two phases- Preliminary exam and Mains exam, along with a qualifying nature descriptive test, followed by an Interview. This year preliminary exam is going to be held on the 20th of July and the mains exam on 31st August.

Documents Required for NICL AO Form

Here is a list of Important Key documents required to fill the NICL AO Form. 

Passport-Size Photograph 

  • Dimensions: 4.5cm × 3.5cm
  • Size of the photo: 20-50 kb
  • Format of the photo: JPG/JPEG

            Important tip: Use a white/light background for clear contrast. 

Signature

  • Ink to be used for signature: Black ink on white paper.
  • Size of the signature image: 10–20 KB
  • Format of the image: JPG/JPEG

            Important tip: Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will NOT be accepted.

Thumb Impression

  • left thumb impression (on white paper with black or blue ink). 
  • Dimensions: 240 x 240 px (3 cm x 3 cm)
  • Size: 20–50 KB
  • Format: JPG/JPEG

Important note: (If a candidate does not have a left thumb, he/she may use his/ her right thumb. If both thumbs are missing, the impression of one of the fingers of the left hand, starting from the forefinger, should be taken. If there are no fingers on the left hand, the impression of one of the fingers of the right hand starting from the forefinger should be taken. If no fingers are available, the impression of the left toe may be taken. In all such cases where the left thumb impression is not uploaded, the candidate should specify in the uploaded document the name of the finger and the specification of left/right hand or toe. 

Handwritten Declaration

  • The text for the handwritten declaration is as follows: Text:
    “I, [Your Name], hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true, and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
  • Size: 50–100 KB
  • Dimensions: 800 x 400 px
    Note: Write it yourself (not typed), and do not use CAPITAL letters. The handwritten declaration has to be in the candidate’s handwriting and English only. If it is written by anybody else and uploaded, or in any other language, the application will be considered invalid. (In the case of candidates who cannot write, they may get the text of the declaration typed and put their left-hand thumb impression (if not able to sign also) below the typed declaration and upload the document as per specifications.)

Valid Photo ID

To upload and later present the same ID during the examination as well. 

  • Aadhaar Card
  • PAN Card
  • Passport
  • Driving License
  • Voter ID

Caste / Category Certificate (if applicable)

  • SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates must upload their caste certificate.
  • OBC-NCL and EWS must present those certificates that are issued on or after 31st March 2025. 

PwBD Certificate (if applicable)

  • Candidates who came under the PwBD category must have certificates under the government norms.
  • It should be issued by a recognized medical authority. 

Educational Qualification Certificates

  • Candidates must possess 10th, 12th, and Graduation certificates/mark sheets.
  • It should be taken care of that the Degree/provisional certificate showing the result is declared by 1st May 2025.

Active personal Email ID and Contact Number

  •  Have a valid personal email ID and mobile no, which should be kept active till the completion of this Recruitment Process. All official communication will be sent to the registered email address of the candidate.
  • Under no circumstances, a candidate share/mention their e-mail ID with/any other person. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID and mobile no. Before applying online, and must maintain that email account and mobile number. 

Documents Required at Later Stages of NICL AO 2025

While attending the prelims and mains exams, and also after clearing the same, candidates require a list of documents for the interview stage. Below, we have listed the documents that are required at later stages.

For Prelims & Mains Exam:

  • A printed copy of the Call Letter(admit card)
  • Original and photocopy of the uploaded Photo ID(Aadhar/PAN, etc.)

 For Interview / Final Selection:

  • Printed online application form
  • Originals & copies of:
    • 10th, 12th, and graduation certificates
    • Caste / EWS / PwBD certificates (if applicable)
    • Valid ID proof
    • NOC (for government/public sector employees)
    • Technical qualification/professional course certificates (for specialists)

Important Scanning Guidelines and Standard procedure to upload the documents 

Below is a table given regarding the scanning guidelines to be followed while scanning and uploading the documents.

Procedure for uploading the documents: 

• While filling in the Online Application of NICL AO Form 2025, the candidate will be provided with separate links for uploading the left thumb impression and handwritten declaration 

• Click on the respective link “Upload left thumb impression/handwritten declaration” 

• Browse and select the location where the Scanned left thumb impression/handwritten declaration file has been saved. 

• Select the file by clicking on it 

• Click the ‘Open/Upload’ button. Your Online Application will not be registered unless you upload your Left thumb impression and handwritten declaration as specified. 

• If the file size and format are not as prescribed, an error message will be displayed. 

• A preview of the uploaded image will help to see the quality of the image. In case of unclear/smudged, the same may be re-uploaded to the expected clarity /quality. 

Note: (1) In case the left thumb impression or the handwritten declaration is unclear/smudged, the candidate’s application may be rejected. 

(2) After uploading the left thumb impression/handwritten declaration in the online application form, candidates should check that the images are clear and have been uploaded correctly. In case the left thumb impression or the handwritten declaration is not prominently visible, the candidate may edit his/ her application and re-upload his/ her thumb impression/handwritten declaration before submitting the form. 

(3) After registering online, candidates are advised to take a printout of their system-generated online application forms.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

As we all know that while scanning and uploading documents, there are chances of some mistakes, and it has been seen that because of some common mistakes, application forms of NICL AO have been rejected. To avoid these mistakes, keep these points in mind.

  • Uploading blurry or pixelated documents or images.
  • Using capital letters in the handwritten declaration
  • Submitting outdated OBC/EWS certificates
  • Forgetting to match the photo ID used during registration and while attending the exam.
